The fabric of the place is unravelling – attitudes are hardening between the demonstrators and the police, between mainlanders and Hongkongers and even down the middle of families.

Does the energy ceasefire President Trump announced between Russia and Ukraine actually exist?
Over the weekend Trump said a truce had been reached. But whilst Ukrainian President Zelensky said he would be willing to back one, Russia’s Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, said Ukraine doesn’t deserve the “respite” that a ceasefire would bring.

As to clarify, I am sorry for what my country did to Hong Kong. However, previously, Hong Kong what part of China. This is why China has been trying to get Hong Kong back into its rule. The separation of honk king and China happened due to the British empire and other European countries invading early China (no offense I don’t hate europeans for this) As honk kong was a flourishing place back then, the British empire had thus overtaken it and influenced the people with English. This caused the people to not learn Chinese and slowly be separated from China. However, I also think that China should not force honk kong, as everyone wants freedom. ( if you have different thoughts just comment it or dislike this don’t hate)

Hong Kong was prosperous and far more advanced than China in the past. They see their culture far more superior, unique and different, and was very proud of their colonial heritage.
Those arrogant young people just cannot accept the fact that today, China has surpassed them. They are living in utopia that "Hong Kong supposed to be greater, richer, stronger than the whole China". They just feel ashamed that the people once they looked down in the past, is now turning into global superpower.
