Republicans just showed how completely hypocritical and dishonest they all are. Several of the Republican senators defied their subpoenas and didn't show up but want to punish Hunter. They said he could come whenever he wanted and be asked questions in public but when he comes they refuse to have a hearing. They just want to keep the story about biden in the news and be able to lie about his testimony. Because if he was able to tell the American people the truth it would show the President had nothing to do with it and the whole Republican sharade would come to an end.

Once I had a ticket for an expired tag. I went to the clerk to request a payment schedule since the court date was between paychecks. They agreed and set a date for me to pay the ticket but I was sight impaired and had a color disorder which made it impossible to read the date. I told the clerk( a woman I went to high school with)
I couldn't read the date. She reach into her calendar on one of those little Binder like calendar stands. Pulled off a page with the day and date in big letters and circled the time which was alo big enough for me to see. The day came which was my payday we agreed on. I got the check cashed, went to pay and she said. "It's too late. We have issued a warrant for failure to appear. I reminded her of the arrangement and she argued it was for the day before my payday. I reminded her the reason for the extension was because I didn't have money to pay until that payday which was that day. She argued with me and I pulled the calendar page she marked for me with her hand from my purse. I said look at your calendar pages ..remember you pulled out today's date. Sure enough the page was missing. I reminded her of my visual.
impairment. She said none of that mattered the ticket had the date to appear and I didn't appear. I told her I had the money in my hand to pay. She refused to take it. No matter how unfair that seemed whether it was an accident or not I did not have the privilege to decide when I could pay or appear in court. Only the Judge/ Court decides that. If the Arrangement was not in writing in an official capacity although I was prepared to pay, I still missed my court date. That error took a $26 ticket at that time to an $1100 fine. WHY am I telling this story. Because the court decides when people appear. They have a calendar and itinerary for the day. For Congressional business depositions take time and MUST BE allotted for. One can not just show upand demand to testify. Congress was there the other day to vote on Hunter Bidens failure to appear. After that vote they had a day's itinerary to follow. If you are called to court you can not just waltz in and demand to testify whenever you decide. THAT IS WHY IT WAS A RIDICULOUS STUNT FOR HUNTER TO SHOW UP ON A DATE HE WAS NOT CALLED to testify that will take days if not weeks of time to set aside their calendar for so as to have enough time to complete the questioning
