Rather see a commitment to a nuclear power station at this point.
It's also disgusting to see Torys making plans to raid our North Sea oil reserves and pushing for shale gas. How this ties with green objectives is anyone's guess?
We need to stop being philistines about energy.
Pull the plug on fossil fuel profiteering.

It had better be quick as the time is coming when the British will be outnumbered by Immigrants from nations hostile to Britain. When they decide the time is right we will have Enoch Powell's "Rivers of Blood" in this country!!!

For years the British Services have been starved of everything. Now UK Defence is based on all fur coat and no knickers

  20. @maryhook9478

    January 12, 2024 at 1:18 am

Will she also defend our Southern Shores effectively by not allowing any of the dinghies to land.

  21. @maryhook9478

    January 12, 2024 at 1:18 am

But will she root out wokery in the Armed Forces and bring back recruitment based on good old fashioned meritocracy.

    January 12, 2024 at 1:18 am

Assess the threat he says,,, well the number of illegals now far out ways the number of military personnel in our armed forces,,, but it's not an invasion, even though over 90 % are 20 to 35 years of age and male

"I know civil servants who would like to see the army reduced to 60,000."

Then he knows some real fools.

I would also question the motivations of those people. Some of them will simply be idiot beancounters who know the cost of everything and the value of nothing. However there is also the serious danger of treason involved as well. Russian or Chinese agents pushing to cripple our armed forces.

  30. @chrisbuster6947

    January 12, 2024 at 1:18 am

Defence that's a joke, can't even stop a invasion by rubber dinghy's, and yes it is a invasion pure and simple, with the help of our military, madness utter madness.

  31. @nemosays6337

    January 12, 2024 at 1:18 am

Why, they don't defend our borders or what would be of real beneficial interest to the British people, all they do is cause trouble in Ukraine and poke the Russian bear, stop arming Nasties!

stop foreign aid, stop paying for thousands upon thousands of un documented illegal immigrants, stop sending ukraine millions of £ worth of weapons and we should have a few quid to spend on what we need

  36. @clivehutt2709

    January 12, 2024 at 1:18 am

Great idea whilst people can't keep them themselves warm. Did anybody notice the General say that the Ukrainian army has lost the equivalent of the entire standing army of the UK ? This figure is 10x what the main stream media, and the government admits to.

Of course citizens want increased military spending while they are being impoverished..Who knows, extra military can be always used against them when they are hungry and cold..
