Some companies will make a killing from this scheme!

This sounds like a total con..I don't think these things work particularly in the winter months.

The installers take all the grant . No excuse for that no justification either but thats what happens. Positioning of the heat pump is important, efficiency depends on it. Not every home is suitable for maximum efficiency.

Just another way to bankrupt the system, to bring in their NWO.

If you use this scheme then don't use Gas Fast company their salesman promises the world no damage left by installers that's bs they leave the lot crap pipework and holes drilled through into a bedroom on the other side of the boiler, worst case work I've ever seen

Go electric it will be soo much easier for them to make your suffer it’s not rocket science!

  8. @chattonlad9382

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

Heat pumps are a waste of money. The only ones that benefit are the ones installing the system.

    Rubbish.

Pie in the sky, how do these work in a terraced house built in stone 130 years ago, with a tiny garden. Surely it’s time to open more oil wells and start fracking.

    It's another scam

Utter crap you help normal people by using our own fossil fuels to be self sufficient and stop scaring people with the climate hoax.

  13. @paulbrunton877

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

Don't need heat pumps, just electric heating is best, and inverter technology with the new power cells coming out from Elon Musk's production of Tesla. Doing away with Gas heating will save you money, no gas bills, no boiler bills, just maintenance of your power supply which will be easy because once fitted it will last quite a few years.

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

What about people whose medical conditions cannot cope with the vibration of air-circulation pumps? Will the government be giving us grants to live in tents?

  15. @David-tt2mt

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

Purhaps gov can consider spending more wisely by going after the various contract suppliers of all the wasted ppe and then start on the suppliers/investors of untested juice foisted on the pop.

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

Yeah an never turned off.. I want nuklea ( u can put it in my back garden)

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

Has anyone in government looked at what impacts heat pumps have on the environment? I know this might sound crazy but if taking heat from say the ground has an adverse effect on nature is anyone either aware of it or tested it? I'm sure they haven't.

  18. @xmfclick

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

So much ignorant twaddle talked here. Also, no mention at all of the fact that you will probably need to replace your radiators with much bigger ones, and maybe even replace your pipework. This may account for the eye-watering sum mentioned. But this package was pretty poor journalism.

  19. @PA-ss5cq

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

Wasting MORE of our money. Handing it to dubious hard-sell companies with names including "green" or "eco" encouraging people to scrap perfectly good boilers so they can pocket taxpayers' money. Or put in doubtful "insulation" where insulation already exists. Yet again taxpayers who have already paid for their own properties improvements having to pay for other peoples' now too.

  20. @dennistaylor3009

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

Keep clear it runs on electricity.

  21. @davidife597

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

Anyone with a brain knows that heat pumps are a total waste of money and will not heat your home or water without substantial input from electricity, it’s a no brainier.

  22. @Land-of-reason

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

Gosh that will create noise and hack off neighbours.

  23. @pjfan173

    Which one lasts longer?

  24. @El.Cid17

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

Another waste of tax payers money.

  25. @djbogz1921

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

We can send money to other countries, for wars etc but when we help our own, people still moan

  26. @archiebald4717

    January 12, 2024 at 8:49 pm

All seems like free gifts. It is not, it all has to be repaid eventually. Heat pumps are costly to run and not always very effective.
