Britain is not a Democratic country as it brags about, majority voted to leave EU, but they are not respected.

  11. @Lilitha11

    January 9, 2024 at 11:27 pm

Pretty much going as expected. Next they will vote no to an extension, or the EU will deny it because they still don't have any plan on what to do with an extension, and then they will crash out of the EU with a no deal anyway.

did anyone of you watched the live streams of channel 4 news? about the debates? its an absolute disaster … its like 33% are for remain, 33% for the deal and 33% for no deal and that 1 percent dosnt knows what to do at all. it got multible times said "a no deal will be absolutely horrible" even corbin see´s this by now AND YET they all bickering at eachother and being like "but we want our country baaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!" i watched it 2 days ago and yesteday for over 12 hours how they bickering at eachother and I NEVER EVER SEEN A GOVERNMENT SO EXTREMELY DIVIDED in their opinion in my entire life … the worst here is THEY ALL KNOW A NO DEAL WILL BE DEVESTATING AND A PURE CHAOS. scottland (and thats no joke!) threatened to leave the UK union with the words "we are not willing to stay in a sinking ship if it results in a no deal" THATS HILERIOUS! i really have to say it again … it is a pure chaos in the UK government there … just watch today the next debate on channel 4 news if they livestream it again. ya will facepaw yourself so hard when you see how peoples mentition "oh a no deal is super bad" and yet being for a no deal. THIS GOVERNMENT WILL GET NEVER torwards one clear decission. they should´ve negated the brexit vote backthen already because the vote was extremely close and won with leave. + they did a fake campaign about it and noone was really informed about the consequences. so many peoples want to stay already in the EU after they facing the consequences of a no deal. about loosing their jobs, having it hard to cross the borders to visit friends etc. which is for now still easy. car industries leaving already the UK like honda did. why is this government so blind. just stay in the EU and be done with it if ya know that a no deal is so fucking bad … GOD IN HEAVEN SERIOUSLY!

  17. @paulfitzpatrick1334

    January 9, 2024 at 11:27 pm

LOL! A no deal Brexit will actually make the possibility of a United Ireland a more realistic option. Had the British parliament accepted the deal the NI could have had the best of both worlds, it would been in the UK but in terms of customs it would have been in the EU too so companies could not have moved to NI and used it as a base for their UK operations and EU too and the NI economy would have been much better off. Now that the deal is rejected people in NI are going to be worse off and there will be a lot of angry people – if those people bring their anger into the polling station and use the ballot box then anything can happen!

  18. @jhonbus

    January 9, 2024 at 11:27 pm

OK, I'm only just watching this at 11pm, and it's almost as if the house of commons manages to find a surprise path every time!

  19. @federico___

    January 9, 2024 at 11:27 pm

I don’t get the point to vote on the 14th, if they accept no deal on 13th the story ends, if they vote against the no deal they will have to vote yes to the extension or this will ends in no deal anyway, so 14th vote is pointless, everything is decided on 13th.

You'll plug twitter and facebook, suuuuuure, but try and be TLDR and get a mention! jk, but seriously: If I can't reach your page clicking a link or at least pasting an address, I'm not gonna bother… Often browsing with only hand on mouse compounds that, because I don't want to reach for the keyboard… 😀

I've question that might not be answered. the MPs voted against a No Deal today. From continental Europe I see questions arise about why should we extend the deadline, if you don't really seem to have a plan. Could it be possible that the EU says "remain or it's a no deal"? and what are the chances.

  23. @Maruzella_

I just want you guys to know that without you I here in Finland wouldn't know anything about brexit, the Finnish media doesn't report on these twists and turns… Thank you for giving me info I want but wouldn't know of a reliable place to get it 🙂 <3

What WOULD happen in such a case?

  28. @McHrozni

I can't wait for tomorrow's edition. British parliamentary procedure is rather confusing, 312:308 against a no deal and 321:278 against a no deal.
Beyond "we're against no deal" quite some space for interpretation is still left.

So what i got from this video is that the irish have made brexit a nightmare for the useless tory party????

  42. @luxembourger

    January 9, 2024 at 11:27 pm

If Northern Ireland would not be part of the UK, there would already be a Brexit. So the Remainers can be very thankful.
