Ukraine says it's going to take back Crimea. Is this possible ? Im wondering if anyone who is knowledgeable on this matter could explain if it's possible or not without bias either way.

The Ugro-finnic Russia was a vassal of Crimean Khanate until 1700 and then that year Russia (under title "Moscovia") appeared as an independent state for the first time in history. Of course, Russia does not want everyone to know about it, because they are ashamed of it. Kyivan Rus was actually Ukrainian state only. The modern Russia is a true descendant of Golden Horde. According to the historical documents.

Crimea is primarily Greek and it is full of ancient Greek cities Chersonisos (now Sevastopol) Pantikapeon (now Kerch) Theodosia (now Feodosiya) and many others. It's name is Tauris Chersonese (peninsula of the bulls) . The Greeks lived there from 1.000 BC until the times of the Greek Byzantine empire . The name Crimea was given by the Tatars much later . So it is not Ukrainian, nor Russian not Turkish or anything else.

Scott Galloway on the fight for US men | Americast

Published

on

There was a gender divide in the US in 2024 and one of the criticisms of the failed Democrat presidential campaign was that they appealed to women and largely ignored men.

So, with the midterms coming up, and the 2028 battle lines being drawn, how much is are political conversations going to centre around who can attract the male vote?

Justin’s been talking to a man who’s been thinking about that very question.

Russian drone hits Romanian apartment block | BBC News

Published

on

A Russian drone hit an apartment block in Romania causing a fire and wounding two people, officials say.

The incident happened on Friday in the town of Galati – close to Romania’s eastern border with Ukraine and Moldova.

Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte said “Russia’s reckless behaviour is a danger to us all”, while European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said Russia’s “war of aggression had crossed yet another line”.

Russian drones have strayed across Romania’s border a number of times during the four-year war with Ukraine, but it is the first time citizens from the Nato country have been hurt. Russia has yet to comment on the incident.
