Nana Akua: ‘We pay for them, the BBC should not be their own judge and jury. If they don’t want to go through Ofcom like other broadcasters, then we the public should determine their fate.’

Live TV is rubbish. Everybody knows all the good stuff is online, and never on TV. I haven’t purposely watched live TV or bbc since the Iraq lies – back when what we know to be true now was smeared as conspiracy. I wouldn’t even watch it if it was free.
Nothing of this nature should be put on us before a high majority vote. Isn’t that what a democracy is supposed to be? 🤷‍♂️ who even knows anymore 🫤

Remember if you don’t watch live tv or I player you don’t need a license, if you have not had a need for a licence for a while but have been paying, telephone the bbc and get a refund

So, when are GBNews going to apologize for being a right-wing propaganda echo chamber, and as anybody can see from this video, embarrassingly smug while doing it.
Accusing others of being biased? You just have to laugh.

There should be an independent panel which decides on complaints against the BBC and NO existing or previous employees of the BBC should be on that panel.
The panel should be drawn from a range of social stratas and the general public should have at least a 30% representation.

Maybe you pay for it, I don't, don't watch and couldn't care less what happens to them unless they're shut down which would be some good news for the day.

There are a lot of services that we pay for in this country that we have no say over,

The BBC are an antidote to drivel like this. Sickening how low outfits like this will sink.

We have the same problem with the CBC in canada but it will be gone along with Trudeau when the next election comes around.

Since I stopped paying for the licence my TV has worked exactly the same. No change at all in fact.

Don't watch it, then don't pay for it. It's that simple.

  21. @user-hs1ye4or2j

    January 9, 2024 at 8:54 pm

Just decriminalise the licence and give the people the choice to pay or not

  22. @EQ2snorkle

    January 9, 2024 at 8:54 pm

I cancelled mine last year, it ran out in August this year and I've had 2 red letters, and threatening e-mails. I don't even have a tv and stopped watching or listening to the BBC radio and TV 2 years ago. Their threatening letters saying they are going to send people round is disgusting, it should be banned. I will NOT let a stranger come into my house to see I don't have a TV because they will send one round every year so i just ignore them all.

  23. @_J.F_

    January 9, 2024 at 8:54 pm

We do pay for them but if enough of us cancel our TV licence the BBC, and the government, will have to accept the fact that the British public is sick and tired of funding what is basically a broadcaster with an open policy of national indoctrination, blatant disregard for public money, and unacceptable worshipping, and rewarding, of random BBC kingpins. Enough is enough!
