Recession ,housing market takes a big dive then the Markets crash , The Paris accord the government signed up to then the Big reset kicks in ,UK becomes a country for the wealthy while the rest of the great unwashed as the government call us get slid down the road into a Mad Max dystopian world akin to that 1970s film Soylent Green .
Of course the MP,s /Ministers & Lords that voted for that world will still be getting their Fat Cat pay cheque,s and even fatter expenses paid for out of the taxes on the hyper inflated Economy they created !

Truss was a passing distraction nothing more (she was only in for 44 days, a bit part player), these structural failures , have been built in from the 2008 banking crash, + covid and global pressures, this presentation is taking a too near view , left leaning position. There is no one individual to blame here. If anything its is the UK political system, we appear to be getting more like Greece . No one with the balls to take the tough calls, because they are scared they will be voted out. You need someone older presenting who has actually been through the ups and downs.

The government has borrowed money for years for things that it shouldn't or didnt need to. Like paying off banking debt etc when it should have been spending on public housing or general infrastructure for all the country but was too focused on London and the money already there instead of trying to spread it around the entire country

UK house prices are treated like stocks – investors expect them to keep growing in value year on year, but this is completely unsustainable in the long run.
Stocks are expected to go up by a certain percentage in value every year, or provide a certain percentage of the company value as dividends.
For a company to pay dividends, it simply has to generate enough cash flow to be able to pay investors, say, 4% of company value every year.
For a company to grow in value, it has to expand its business – buy more equipment to produce more product to sell to more markets.
But a house is a house – A house can pay a dividend forever, the rent payment, there's a limit to how much a house can grow. You can build a loft extension, install modern appliances, double glazing, refurbish the house to bring it up to modern standards, sure. But beyond that, it's absolute lunacy to expect a house to keep growing by X% year on year forever. What drives that growth? Increase in land value, driven partly by population growth, and partly by speculation…. beyond that? Nothing. There is no increase in fundamental value.
Take an example of a country where the population is shrinking and houses are not seen as a speculative investment: Japan. In Japan, houses are actually a depreciating asset that goes down in value over time and has to be refurbished or replaced to bring the value back up. I think that's where we're going to eventually head in the near future. Because infinite house value growth is not sustainable by any logical analysis.
