Arctic polar bears “face near-extinction within decades” warn scientists – BBC News
Arctic polar bears are facing near extinction by the end of the century, if the sea ice they depend on continues to disappear.
That’s the stark warning from a new study looking at the long term future of the bears.
Greenhouse gas emissions are contributing to the rapid melting of the polar bears’ frozen hunting grounds.
Huw Edwards presents BBC News reporting from science correspondent Victoria Gill.

Five years on from the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan | BBC News
It has been five years since the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan, as western forces left, imposing their extreme, ultra-conservative interpretation of Islam on millions of people.
Their return to power brought relative peace to the country after two decades of war.
But Afghan women have been erased from public life. Girls are banned from school from the age of 12, and aren’t allowed to go to university.
Public parks are also off limits to women – and they can’t travel abroad without a male companion.

🔍 Explore the Arctic Crisis: Polar bears, the well-known representations of the icy North, are dealing with hitherto unseen difficulties. Their hunting areas disappear with the melting ice, making it difficult for them to get food. 🙑 It serves as a sobering reminder of how vital climate action is.
🌱 Every individual has a vital role to perform. Minimise your carbon footprint, donate to environmental advocacy groups, and raise awareness of the Arctic ecosystem's precarious condition. Now is the moment to take action! 🌏♤️ #ClimateAwareness #ActForChange #PolarBearCrisis

Why is that a bad thing? polar bears kill and eat stuff. All they do stuff is kill stuff. That's scientific fact. Climate change may kill things. Polar bears definitely kill things. If polar bears die from global warming doesn't that save animal lives? don't polar bears stop evolution because they kill species. If anything had a chance in adapting to the environment of the north pole a polar bear would have eaten it before it had a chance. I don't really care if polar bears die. I'm disappointed because I want to see new species. otherwise evolution isn't real. Stuff going extinct can't be evolution. i need to see new stuff pop up. There must be a reason why that doesn't happen like mean old polar bears eating new species trying to develop kind of like microsoft does.

Turns out this is more disinformation! The polar bear population is booming. None of this is due to the invented climate crisis. We are being lied to, and the BBC are complicit.

The usual BBC propaganda that has no basis in the facts. The sea ice has been doing well in the last few years. A lot of polar bears have migrated to other areas and the seal populations have fluctuated, which they depend on, and this causes the bear population to vary too. Huw Edwards and the other presenters on the BBC should be ashamed of themselves for spreading this false picture.

Victoria seems to have missed that the number of Polar bears is increasing. Only one population of Polar bears is decreasing.
The average global temperature has not changed in 7 years. But the Billion dollar global warming scheme can't admit that.
