Ukraine war: Putin confirms first nuclear weapons moved to Belarus – BBC News
Russia has already stationed a first batch of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, Vladimir Putin says.
Speaking at an economic forum, he said they would only be used if Russia’s territory or state was threatened.
The US government says there is no indication the Kremlin plans to use nuclear weapons to attack Ukraine.
The Russian leader is due to meet African leaders in St Petersburg after they visited Kyiv on Friday as part of a peace initiative they are presenting to both countries. However, while they were in the city it came under Russian missile attack.

A Russian drone hit an apartment block in Romania causing a fire and wounding two people, officials say.
The incident happened on Friday in the town of Galati – close to Romania’s eastern border with Ukraine and Moldova.
Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte said “Russia’s reckless behaviour is a danger to us all”, while European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said Russia’s “war of aggression had crossed yet another line”.
Russian drones have strayed across Romania’s border a number of times during the four-year war with Ukraine, but it is the first time citizens from the Nato country have been hurt. Russia has yet to comment on the incident.

How many Ukrainian's have died in the meat grinder that NATO is sending them into compared to number of deaths of Russian soldiers? Why is the BBC not impartial, instead shaping peoples minds with security services narrative and manufacturing consent? For every 1 Russian soldier dead their are 10 Ukrainian soldiers dead and dying. Hence why Ukrainian army is abducting Ukrainian men off the streets who are aged between 18 to 60 at gun point to go fight in the war. With no air cover, radar, or support structure for NATO supplied weapons the "counter offensive" has failed. Also BBC mis-spelt "falsify" as "verify", further gas lighting (misinforming and deliberately misinforming) the public to continue to support this futile NATO backed proxy war.
