Every town council I have been too does not and cannot vote a recently dismissed Mayor into council. They have to wait 2 years before they could run for council. They also cannot have a town meeting without a duly appointed Mayor at the helm. There has to be an agenda by the Mayor and they have to run the meeting. Council members cannot run a meeting. Also, the voting process (names on ballets) has to be read before the citizens. Example: One vote for Jeremy, one vote for George, etc. Reminds me of a kangaroo court. Every incorporated town I have been to doesn't run their ship without a captain

Why is the council appointing the mayor ? I've always known it to be an open voting situation and that the mayor is elected by the people. Does Odder Creek have some special thing to appoint their mayor that's different than everybody else?

Strange if chains are used all over I have seen no chains here or other places I have done business in past two months. From Albq Nm to El paso Tex. back to my home 167 miles west of El paso. Then question is why has odder creek gone to digital meters for water, both Elec and Water all over Sw New Mexico are all digital. Which has made it nice for both sides. Hard to believe Nm has advanced that far above Fla towns and cities.
