Very little reconstruction has taken place in Gaza since the conflict there which killed over 2,100 Palestinians and destroyed more than 100,000 homes. Donors have pledged more than $5bn but Israel strictly regulates the import of building materials and equipment into the Palestinian territory. They say that militants could use the equipment to carry out attacks. Yolande Knell reports from Gaza.

Four people, including a teacher and children aged 5, 8 and 11, have been killed in a shooting at an elementary school in the US state of Oregon, local police say.
The suspected attacker, a 16-year-old boy, forced his way into the school by firing at locked doors. He was also killed in the shooting.
Emergency services in the city of Bend responded after receiving a call that an armed person had fired at a car before he was seen going into the Silver Rail Elementary School with a long gun.
The suspect was shot dead by an armed member of the community who followed the suspect inside the school, police say.

4 billion dollars of foreign aid, mostly spent of rearming and building more tunnels. Gaza should be the Singapore of the Middle East by now.

Israel has nothing to do with the internal battle going between hamas and fatah over the control of the supplies meant for gaza, both sides look to siphon funds and control the marketing of the supplies, which is the main reason for the shortage.
International community should be in-charge of the above, not two factions whom are fighting for complete control of an islamist terror regime.

The BBC narrative is that everything is Israel's fault – The Palestinians never possess agency – they are merely passive victims of an evil oppressor that makes all the decisions, Basically the British coverage of the conflict is the equivalent of a novel written by a three year old with a set of crayons.

thats what happens when you have a terror organization in control of 2 milion men and women.
dont defend them or blame israel for that. its like saying "nazi germany struggling to rebuild after conflict": its their fault!
