Cyber Attack: Ransomware causing chaos globally – BBC News
Tens of thousands of organisations have been caught out by a computer virus called WannaCry. The malicious software locks data away and demands a payment of up to $300 (£230) a time before it will restore scrambled files. In the UK, many hospitals fell victim and some health organisations diverted ambulances and cancelled non-essential services as they sought to contain and clean up the infection. Infections in more than 99 nations are being reported by security firms. It appears that the hardest hit are Russia and Spain.

Is this AI’s moment of truth? | BBC News
A year ago, artificial intelligence was being sold as something close to science fiction — a technology that could transform society, cure disease, even reshape the global economy.
Today, the tone is changing. The companies leading the revolution are racing to the stock market — chasing billions in investment — while quietly confronting a much harder reality: AI is expensive, unpredictable, and far from profitable.
At the same time, some of the very people building this technology are warning we may be going too fast — even calling for a global pause.
And beyond Silicon Valley, a different story is emerging: growing public anxiety, political backlash, and the rise of what some are calling anti-AI populism.
So is AI entering its most pivotal moment yet — caught between financial pressure, technological risk, and political resistance?
AI Decoded Presenter Christian Fraser is joined by Financial Times AI Editor Madhumita Murgia, Thematic Strategist at Deutsche Bank Research Adrian Cox and Richard Coffin, Host of popular investing podcast ‘ The Plain Bagel’.

Absolute bollox. If that was the case, why are we white now.How can they possibly tell skin colour from a skeleton, what a joke, another attempt to ram some false black story down our throats just like they tried with beachy head woman when they originally were so cock sure that she was black that they even put a blue plaque up.Which they then had to take back down when it was proven that the skeloton was European NOT African.
And then weve got the childrens books stating that Stone Henge was built by – yes you guessed it – black people!

The early EVERYONE had dark skin. We all originated from a very intensely sunny central African to middle eastern environment.

Obviously different races have different evolutionary paces based on the environment in different continents. That’s why some can run faster while others become scientists.

One thing you can be sure of: Any scientific finding that disproves the delusions of ultra-right white males about the white race being placed on earth in its current form by "god" (who they probably believe is white, Christian, a right-winger, and probably Germanic) will produce violent disagreements by that class of political riffraff. They will also react ecstatically to occasional scientific theories that the original Homo sapiens may not have come out of Africa.

And with this new discovery BBC News LIGHTENED the colour of Ceddar man and used a photo in their article – the same as the one in the thumbnail here – that makes him look lighter skin than what the scientists presented 🤨👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Hi, I'm a guy 5 years after this video got released. For anyone reading, know that it turns out all of this was made-up for political reasons. There was absolutely no method possible that could allow the determination of skin color. This was really done to legitimize the false history that blacks were the real Britons and white people were the ethnic colonizers of the British Isles, therefore you must not have any opposition for the ethnic replacement of white Europeans in their native homelands.
