This video became important in retrospect. Even though he lagged behind and later lost to Truss, now we are to watch UK and conservatives under his leadership (and likely for quite longer time period) … that prompted me to know about him… and well there is a little summary about his stances from You from times when he was not so likely to succeed. Curious.

This one was really good – "she will cut taxes in 7 weeks not 7 years" 😉 So pick me on her spot, I will cut taxes in 48 hours! And be sure to be out of politics when this decision wrecks the country 😛
I mean don't get me wrong, I hate taxes, but if someone is proposing stuff like that, I really want something more than "she thinks she can do it" to go behind it. Cause if would be really "sad" if she indeed cut down taxes in 7 weeks and this would lead in things like NHS getting literally demolished by underfunding. Because if not from taxes, from where the government can take money that goes into the budget? It's not a company, doesn't produce anything and doesn't sell services, it gets its money either by taxation or by lending it.
@PurityVendetta

The stench of a desperate Tory… Sunak appears to have miscalculated in not taking account that he might be a little too brown for the 160k Tory gammon who will be voting. Still, I'm sure he'll cry all the way to Goldman Sachs and if Dim Lizzie lasts 6 months I'll be amazed.

Being against the ‘woke’ element who live on Twitter is NOT a ‘right wing’ issue. Plenty of people on the left and centre are fed-up with the militant arm of the left-wing who are an oppressive force. There is an awful amount of misogyny, racism, antisemitism and homophobia from the radical woke left. I’ve experienced it myself. When certain ‘letters’ in the acronym have supremacy over others on the acronym, we have a problem. My main issue with Sunak’s divisiveness is the timing and the reason for why all of a sudden he’s concerned. It’s lip-service for self-gain.

If Sunak wins that will be the end of the Tory party, we need a true Brit who first thoughts are for Britain and the British people he was sat in our government while holding a green card for America, his wife has lived here for years as a non dom running a business and claimed thousands in furlough money. He ousted Boris cannot be trusted.

I have seldom witnessed the rise of such a disingenuous populist as Truss, who gaslights everyone with excuse after excuse! Yet Tory party members seem to keep swallowing all of her bullshit 🙄 … why?
Maybe it's something they've put in the water? Oh yes, she allowed thousands of tons of shit to be dumped into the sea – to save money 💰 but now she wants to give away all those savings in the form of corporate tax cuts for big business! Her economic policies will drive the economy down, send shopping bills soaring, increase mortgage rates and thus inevitably damage the UK property market 🏡📉
Her provokation of Russia is also highly dangerous 🚀 ⚠️ This woman is dangerous.
