Published

With the Scottish Parliamentary Elections just around the corner, the topic of Scottish Independence has resurfaced once again. Some Scots are especially keen to leave the UK because they then want to rejoin the EU, so in this video we explore that. We discuss why some Scots want to rejoin the EU, the SNP position on it and how Scotland could actually go about rejoining the European Union.

Well, if Scotland leaves the UK the bitter years for then little Britain would come then. Would be a good revenge for 900 years of suppression thru England.

In Scotland people complain that they voted remain to stay in the EU, because they were told it was the only way to stay in the eu.

It was, because leaving the uk means leaving the eu.

It was never said that staying in the uk would ensure eu membership.

We voted to stay in the uk including having our votes counted together on things like referenda.

So many Scot’s say that Scotland voted to stay in eu, so we should. I don’t understand how you can lose an independence referendum then expect our votes to be counted independently anyway.
That’s like losing the race but taking the trophy anyway.

They had their once in a lifetime vote and they made it clear that they wanted to stay British. If you re ran it, the Scotch would return the same result. Nobody wants to have to apply for a visa to be able to go and see Olly Murs or Ed Sheeran live in Wembley

Scotland has always been European England never has been. The big question is why is England terrified of being an independent and free (Brexit) nation? Most of the conjecture is BS designed to protect Union despite the much publicised view from WM that Scotland is a burden. Scottish voters are outnumbered about 12 to one, Scotland gets what England votes for and this they call democracy. Scotland last voted Tories in to power in 1955. Spanish government's only requirement is that independence is achieved legally, Catalonia is not a country. Most small countries more successful than UK don't have any of the assets Scotland has but still they prosper. Scotland does not have an export port, it all goes through Lowestoft described by Lowestoft Port as "Situated directly opposite major continental ports, the Port of Lowestoft serves the busy sea routes between the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, and the Baltic States".

Break up the UK to be ruled by the unelected in Brussels. Seems logical to all SNP idiots. Scotland helped form Britain and will always be British despite what the lefty libtards would have the world believe 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 👑 🇬🇧

If they go they should pay back their massive debt to UK as whole first. They should also expect trade to stop and a Border put up to protect rest of UK from Russia when they invade them.

I’m not clear on the terminology , would there be a a Union of Kingdoms if Scotland left. The Union of Kingdoms was between England and Scotland. So what might the left over countries be called when Scotland leaves the Union?

  22. @Dean256

    January 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm

Before I even watch this video I can answer the question – it’s impossible, as Scotland has never been a member of the EU. Neither has England, Wales or Northern Ireland. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland was a member but has left and as it’s the only country that has ever left the EU its the only country that can rejoin.

  24. @saywhatyouwantmj61

    January 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm

🤣🤣🤣🤣 hope so be a laugh a minute! From a sinking dingy into the titanic! But to rejoin you'd have to have money as bartering is no longer a currency! What will Scotland offer Europe haggis whisky kilts drunks and drug addicts! How stupid an idea is this!!

  25. @pederkristensen4691

    January 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm

Let’s face it, the Brexit referendum based upon single majority was a serious failure. The vote favoured large population grouping, hence the vote weighting favoured England. In Australia, yes we are a federation so it’s a bit different, however for referendum question to be pas it must pas in all Australian states.

  26. @dad7720

    January 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm

How could Scotland ever rejoin an organisation which it has never been a member of?
What a load of misinformed shite!

  27. @remainertears

    January 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm

An independent Scotland wouldn't have a finance sector. Most businesses would go south and Scotland would be bust.

  28. @remainertears

    January 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm

No, Scotland doesn't want to leave the UK to join the EU and be dependent on the EU…the only reason the SNP are in favour of EU membership is to annoy the rest of the UK, not because they generally believe in it.

  29. @andrebardhi2093

    January 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm

Leave the UK. They’re gone just like america. EU is the last bastion for middle class in western civilization. Every where is has developed western civs version of cancer, known to me as the big J… other may call it “the J – – – “

  32. @Thomas-yk2vg

    January 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm

Why as snp have ruined Scotland and don't know who they are asking as to me should stay as the UK and who would snp blame when all goes wrong as for me why should Westminster get blamed for snp and the things going wrong as they need to look and take the blame snp not others for the mistakes they've done

  33. @stephenwright5538

No what a load of bollocks

  34. @rogofos

    January 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm

    so basically
if the UK rejoins the EU, Scotland will probably not become independent
and if UK doesn't rejoin and if Scotland becomes independent it will almost definitely rejoin the EU
but wether Scotland will get its independence is really up in the air

    No

  36. @MishaVasylivsky

Firstly, the majority of Ireland’s trade at 1 point was with the U.K., they’ve since changed that. Why couldn’t Scotland do the same, we have competitive advantage in several areas that are valuable (premium food and drink, fintech, asset management, life sciences, tourism). We actually have more in common economically with the majority of small size EU nations than we do with the English economic strategy. Secondly, the EU is not the end all be all of Scottish independence, the reason I say this is because there’s an alternative that provide close relations with the EU and access to the free market, the EEA as well as EFTA, which would be mutually beneficial for Scotland to be accepted into both as Scotland’s economy is small enough not the threaten the other smaller economies but instead compete and work with them, and visa versa. We may also finally get some investment in said industries instead of all the money flowing down and staying in London.

She lost the legal battle, Scotland would be very weak without England… it losses NATO STATUS giving Russian an advantage in the NORTH.
