But that means this isn't about any one of these treaties it's about all of them.

  2. @williamhenry8914

    January 4, 2024 at 10:38 pm

That would be an enormous national disgrace and would cause issues for Good Friday if the Tories do it. What an absurd cost just to send a couple of hundred asylum seekers to Rwanda. But of course it's not about actually tackling immigration issues, but rather to escape the embarrassing impotence their stupid policy is inflicting on them.

    January 4, 2024 at 10:38 pm

Why on earth would he do that now? He could have done that months ago if he was serious about tackling illegal immigration. He's not. He's just another WEF stooge.

Or they could use all of the UKs intelligence networks to stop the smuggling gangs instead of spying on its own citizens. I’m beginning to think (wink wink) the UK’s security channels in the Middle East were so laid down by America, and the UK has no resources of its own

UK seems a place that is constantly near the point their PM gets voted out, Interestingly enough it seems they declare no confidence a lot and vote out very little. it's a great gov't system for news Drama though.

    January 4, 2024 at 10:38 pm

If Sunak wants some votes, he needs to stop being "about to do things" and start actually DOING them. We're tired of your empty promises, Sunak!

The UK has really been in a race to the bottom these last few years. This seems like they are attempting to dig themselves even deeper down.

  16. @joshuawilson8804

    January 4, 2024 at 10:38 pm

I honestly don't know how the UK is even functioning at this point. Pulling out of the EU, and then they decide to remove human rights. Do the citizens also want this? Or is the Torres dragging everyone down with them in being the worse humans they can be? This honestly makes France look like the icon of hospitality, and Germany as a bunch of optimists.

  17. @napoleonibonaparte7198

Sunak's premiership has been one of reacting to the right.

  18. @saileshmepani6799

    January 4, 2024 at 10:38 pm

Does it mean that once they scrap the human rights commitment allows the Tories to send all UK migrants to the front line of a global war? If so please let Sunak and Braverman's parents to be at the front of the charge.

  19. @phillee4450

Also if those on the further right of the party go against him & try to throw him out the tories will lose a lot harder in the general election

  23. @andrewhodgkins2292

    January 4, 2024 at 10:38 pm

Leaving the ECHR would prove, beyond doubt, that the tories have no interest in the working people of the UK who pay his wages. The only purpose for a move like this is to appease his super rich donors.

  24. @BerserkerLuke

    January 4, 2024 at 10:38 pm

Nothing screams "we're TOTALLY not the bad guys" like trying to pull out of human rights. Absolutely psychotic.

  25. @TheUnorthodoxy

    January 4, 2024 at 10:38 pm

Hmmm lets see, you want to leave a human rights courts jurisdiction to treat people how you see fit because the court said treating them that way is wrong.

You think Mr Prine Minster you can get the good people of the UK to come along with you on that merit? Despite the uk people no longer having a human rights act as a direct result of leaving the court and tearing up that very agreement protecting human rights.

I think that leaving the court will spark riots in uk cities and towns, least i hope it would otherwise we're all asleep

  26. @JimTheFly

    January 4, 2024 at 10:38 pm

Well, I guess that I've pretty much had it confirmed that I could never be a politician, because the idea of leaving a continental-level agreement on something as basic as human rights just to control an immigration/asylum problem is hideous to me.

  27. @sanyu-vz3sq

    January 4, 2024 at 10:38 pm

  30. @LF-du4uc

    January 4, 2024 at 10:38 pm

How messed up is your party when you need to withdraw from a Council on Human Rights in order to advance your policies. Man I thought the USA was nuts.

The EU is like a virus it can be dormant until something crops up it does not like ,Last time it had a ruck with Jersey it threatened to turn off their Energy . France has a massive problem With immigrants it was paying other EU countries 5,500 e per immigrant to take them in .
It changed the laws to say that the first country they landed in was the country they would Be registered in and that country would be responsable for them .

France supplies appx 60% of UK energy , The off & on shore wind turbines are owned in bulk By EU companies along with the maintenance contracts ,France also has appx 5 under sea Interconnectors to suppy energy ,In other words they have the UK by the balls , So even if The UK came out of the ECHR The French do not want the immigrants back .

UK is supposed to be a soveringe country with its own borders ,Which is a joke as the UK Gov have far to many financial ,energy & trade ties with the EU ,And is far to dependent on Them , in other words if you lay with whores you can get crabs or something worse .

The French Armenia deal is going to even more problems in the Balkans ,So the chances of Another war are likley = With more refuges looking a place to go , at present UK is taking immigrants from France , Refuges from Uktaine & Israel .

The UK gov is in over its head and will have to release Covid 2 to free up some space and give its self more time to sort out the mess it got the country into !

Sunak can choose to go down with the sinking ship that is the Tories, or stick to some principles and present himself as a centrist and set himself up for a future Prime Minister-ship…right now he is merely an unelected PM who wont win the next election..

  35. @ravenknightvincent2722
