Published

on

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has had a devastating impact on the country’s children, with authorities saying that at least 205 have been killed since the conflict began.

The UN also estimates that as many as two thirds of all children in Ukraine have been displaced.

Among the young people who have died was 13-year-old Elisei Ryabukon, who was killed in gunfire by Russian soldiers while trying to escape his village with his family.

May the Miraculous Mother of God Kursk Root icon help Mariupol, Kharkiv and all other places which are being pounded by the Russian military. May fighter jets, no-fly zones, artillery, tanks, drones and anything else available to clear Ukraine of Putin's forces.

    Dear President of Ukraine,

Who drove you to resist Russia?! Was it USA?! What is the point of resisting Russia when you know there would be a disaster?! Can't you see amount of lives lost, injuries, refugee crisis, destructions, great length of sadness, and mental health issues that everyone facing because of your decision for your own political gain on the name of sovereignty, freedom, and democracy?! What a full of rubbish?! Sovereignty, freedom, and democracy do not exist in real world! These fancy words are only for text books, schools, universities and media. We are all slaves to the capitalism and market economy! If I were President of Ukraine, I would have declared that Ukraine will be neutral with an immediate effect or I would have said to Russia that ok, I resigned my position and you can come with your war machines and troops but please do not fire single shot, our people will talk to you for a solution. Russia would not have fired a single shot if you have resigned and decided not to resist Russia. I am not justifying Russia's action. NATO's expansion triggered this war. Russia directly cannot fight against USA but Russia is sending a message to USA by invading Ukraine, saying "DON'T MESS AROUND WITH RUSSIA" "RUSSIA'S RESOURCES ARE ONLY BELONGING TO RUSSIA" There is no point resisting against super power nations like USA, Russia and China. They will do whatever they feel right. They all did in the past. Poor countries cannot stop super power nations.

I blame all Presidents and Prime Ministers for all lives lost and great length of sadness on both sides! I blame all Presidents and Prime Ministers for all destructions, which will cost $2 to $3 trillions dollars to rebuild Ukraine! And, you will never going to bring back people who died and injured so far! USA has a history of letting down countries in the past, and other countries follow USA with a "YES MAN"! Ukraine is now being listed under the "Let Down Countries by USA" USA is the only winner from this war. USA wants this war much more than Russia wants this war! Rest of the countries are all losers! Shame on you politicians! Capitalism and market economy will remain number ONE threat to global peace, global resources, race relations, climate, human health, mental wellbeing and living standard on any part of the world until we form a non-trade borderless "One World and One Planned Production & Services" for all humans around the globe. Call for an International Referendum for the non-trade borderless "One World". It can be done if all humans know their human rights!

Russian jets freely fly anywhere they like and drop their heavy bombs over innocents Ukrainian civilians!

    – Biden and NATO rejected 'no air fly zone' request and gave permission to the war criminal Putin and his butcher general to kill innocent civilians whatever he wants ('go get it'!)

    – World is asking why is team Biden still rejecting delivery of fighter jets and air defense missiles and not adding Russia to the 'sponsor of terrorism list' requested by Ukraine?!

    – If the west helped Poland in 1939 there would have been no Holocaust and a 6-yr world war. Do not make a mistake again.

New Nepal flood warnings as 1,400 tourists and locals confirmed missing | BBC News

Published

on

There are fears of more flash floods in Nepal, as rescuers scramble through villages engulfed in rock and mud in a desperate search for survivors of the flash floods that have left at least 1,400 missing and hundreds dead. It is feared that the final death toll may be much higher.

Survivors have been giving harrowing accounts of how their entire families were wiped away in the catastrophe.

Hundreds of foreign nationals are desperately waiting to hear from loved ones thought to be caught in the disaster. Nepalese authorities say at least 380 people are confirmed to have died.

The region is popular with trekkers from around the world and is a pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists, visited by tens of thousands of pilgrims each year.

Travellers from at least 28 countries, are among those missing following the catastrophe. The Nepalese authorities says among those missing are citizens of India, China, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Japan, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Germany, Belgium, Finland, France, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, South Africa and Israel.

Tens of thousands of tourists make their way through Nepal annually. The disaster struck at the time of the year when people, especially Indian tourists, visit the area.

State media in China, which controls Tibet, reported three dead and at least 558 missing there. Among these are 260 foreign nationals. It is not clear if these figures overlap with the numbers provided by Nepal.

It appears that collapse of mountain glaciers triggered the disaster and there are fears of an imminent risk of further flash flooding without warning. Climate change is known to be driving faster glacier melt in the Hindu Kush Himalaya region, but scientists say it is too soon to pinpoint its role in this specific event.

Six months into the US-Israel war with Iran, can anyone win? | BBC News

Published

on

Six months after the United States and Israel launched military action against Iran, the conflict shows no sign of coming to an end.

As Washington turns its focus to economic pressure, Tehran remains defiant – with the Strait of Hormuz seen as key leverage.

The uncertainty keeps economies and markets volatile, pushing up prices around the world and straining international relations.

A conflict that US President Donald Trump said would last a few weeks has now lasted half a year, so where do we go from here and when might the war end?
