Protests as Japan prepares to release treated Fukushima nuclear wastewater – BBC News
Protests have been taking place in South Korea’s capital Seoul over Japan’s planned release of treated radioactive water from the wrecked Fukushima nuclear plant.
The head of the UN’s nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, who is in Seoul, has endorsed the plan but surveys in South Korea indicate overwhelming public opposition to the release.
The plant was severely damaged in 2011 after being struck by a tsunami.

US hits ‘dozens’ of Iranian sites in strikes, as Iran targets US bases in region | BBC News
The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.
“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.
In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

Trump demands 20% toll on cargos passing through strait of Hormuz | BBC News
President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.
He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.
Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.
Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.
The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

New explosions near Iranian port cities, says state media | BBC News
Explosions have been heard near two Iranian port cities, Bandar Abbas and Bushehr, state media has reported.

The UAE called the attack “brazen”, adding that an Indian crew member was killed and eight others were injured.
Meanwhile, the US military says it completed strikes on targets aimed at degrading “Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping” – Iranian state media reports three people were killed.

US launches more strikes on Iran and resumes naval blockade of ports | BBC News
The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.
Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.
President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.

The treated, but yet highly contaminated, water is not safe to release into the Pacific Ocean. Mr Grossi from IAEA is a promoter of nuclear fission power and is biased and not impartial; he is peddling propaganda. The ALPs water treatment process is ineffective, despite he assertions in the video.

Where did Fumio Kishida go? Since Japan forcibly discharged nuclear sewage into the sea, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who has appeared frequently every day, has not shown up for 4 days! It’s been 4 days It is said that the last appearance was when Kishida Fumio publicly led a team to taste Fukushima seafood on August 30. From the current point of view, if he doesn't show up again, it may really mean that something big is going to happen, that nuclear radiation is really fatal to people, and this nuclear pollution is really not a joke.

Demonstrations within China and South Korea against the release of treated water from the Fukushima plant are intended to hide the fact that the two countries are releasing several times larger amounts of tritium than Fukushima. China and South Korea are not telling the truth to their own people. The Chinese government has implemented information control by erasing all social networking sites that show the safety of treated water from Fukushima.

Japan gave money to the IAEA and spent 70 billion in public relations fees, but was unwilling to spend money on treating nuclear wastewater and pouring it into the ocean. This is seriously damaging the earth's environment and declaring war on all mankind. The Western developed countries in Europe and the United States are in collusion with Japan.

if that "TREATED WATER" is so safe, then it is not necessary to dump to the ocean? just save it to use for farming or anything else. we are so dump to believe this lie.
如果“處理過的水”如此安全,那麼就沒有必要傾倒到海洋中? 只需將其保存下來用於農業或其他任何用途。 我們是如此愚蠢地相信這個謊言

Fools talking BS to fool people!! .If it is So Safe and Good, WHY NOT release back in Japan. (Instead now water is spread all Risks it carried to every nations in the World) Japan is in dire need of water resources….the "Safe" water could be used for fruit and agricultural irrigation….or for street cleaning !! If people in Japan are sure of its 'SAFE properties" the water can be available for free to all those who have swimming pools or flushing the toilets.for the Next 20 Years!!…For the 60,000 US soldiers stationed in Japan, US army and airbases all over Japan could sure use the "Free and Safe" water in their swimming pools!! Haaaaaa!!

If it is safe, there is no need to discharge into the sea. This is the sewage used to cool down after the explosion of the pressure vessel. The nuclear sewage directly in contact with the nuclear fuel is completely different from the cooling water in conventional nuclear power plants that does not directly contact the fuel. This kind of emission is the enemy of all human beings, and it is completely unconscionable to whiten this kind of behavior. This is a disaster for the world, and many countries will follow this extremely irresponsible behavior in the future.

Really? Let’s have Japan haul all these polluted water and dump them into the Atlantic Ocean. Let’s see how all those fishes who drink these water will have any effect on European and US people who consume seafood.
First of all dumping pollutants into any Ocean is a crime. Whichever country created their pollutants should take care of it within their own borders and not affect the ocean that is shared by all.
To those who feel otherwise and supported Japan, then take your share of these pollutants back into your home country, esp if you said those polluted water are harmless. Prove you believe in your words and that you aren’t being hypocritical. Then eat those fishes that grows in those “safe” water. Come on, make your offer to Japan & prove yourself!
