The woman leading the first Arab interplanetary mission – BBC News
The United Arab Emirates is sending a spacecraft, Hope, to Mars.
The mission aims to find out more about how the Red Planet became the barren, dusty place it’s known to be today, by studying its weather and climate.
The probe has taken six years to build. Sarah Al-Amiri, the scientist in charge of the mission, spoke to BBC Science Correspondent Rebecca Morelle.

Tens of thousands of organisations have been caught out by a computer virus called WannaCry. The malicious software locks data away and demands a payment of up to $300 (£230) a time before it will restore scrambled files. In the UK, many hospitals fell victim and some health organisations diverted ambulances and cancelled non-essential services as they sought to contain and clean up the infection. Infections in more than 99 nations are being reported by security firms. It appears that the hardest hit are Russia and Spain.

Many deaths falsely blamed on coronavirus

UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock has ordered an “urgent review” into how Public Health England (PHE) calculates coronavirus death figures. It comes after two UK-based scientists highlighted the serious flaw in PHE’s statistics.
Hancock called for an investigation on Friday after confirmation that Covid-19 fatality figures for England include people who tested positive for the deadly virus months before they died. However, in other UK nations such as Scotland and Northern Ireland, they only include deaths in their daily count if someone died within 28 days of testing positive for the disease.
The critical difference in how deaths are recorded may explain why England’s death toll has remained higher than its neighboring nations.
It follows an astonishing article published on Thursday by University of East Anglia professor Yoon K Loke and Carl Heneghan, a professor of evidence-based medicine at Oxford University.
The analysis conducted by the two scientific statisticians showed that PHE has been recording the deaths of people who have previously tested positive for the disease as a coronavirus death – no matter if they had fully recovered from the virus before they died.
A patient who has tested positive, but successfully treated and discharged from hospital, will still be counted as a Covid death even if they had a heart attack or were run over by a bus three months later.
In their damning assessment, the pair insisted that it was “time to fix this statistical flaw that leads to an over-exaggeration of COVID-associated deaths.”
These Covid-19 fatalities refer specifically to people that have died in a hospital setting. It’s not yet clear how many deaths in the community may have been recorded this way.
It comes as the latest UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures published on Friday show the death toll involving Covid-19 breaking the 50,000 barrier.
Between March 1 and June 30, there were 50,335 deaths involving coronavirus in England and Wales. 46,736 of those deaths had Covid-19 assigned as the underlying cause of death. ONS’s data is not based on the same apparent anomaly as the PHE figures.

In Moskau offiziell arbeiteten nicht alle, um keine Steuern zu zahlen. Aber die Beamten. es wurden Patente aus der GUS angeordnet. Sie nahmen Steuern, Bestechungsgelder. Aber in Ihrer Heimat gab es überhaupt keine Arbeit, Sie kamen nach Russland, verdienten und in Ihrer Heimat, kauften Häuser, Autos. Da war alles Billig. Und die Russen stellen nicht. Wir waren ohne Registrierung, weil es keine Unterkunft gibt. Sie verdiente gut, aber das ganze Geld ging für Mietwohnungen und im Allgemeinen für das Leben. Der Mann hat oft Probleme mit der Arbeit, wurde meist mit dem Gehalt betrogen. Ständig auf der Suche nach Arbeit, die nur nicht gearbeitet. Der Sohn studierte, wuchs auf.Yu hat für Taschengeld gearbeitet. Alle mussten sich anziehen, Essen. Moskau war damals teuer. Es war unmöglich, mehr als 3-4 tausend Dollar anzuhäufen. Manchmal musste ich aus der Wohnung ausziehen, und das ist die dreifache Zahlung für die nächste Mietwohnung. Es kostet zum Beispiel 30 tausend, es ist notwendig, 90 tausend zu geben. Alle Bürger der Sowjetunion mussten arbeiten. Aber jetzt in unserer Zeit, ein Arbeitender Mann, der von einer Familie, Kindern träumt, kann kein Haus ohne Hypothek Bondage kaufen. Mietet eine Wohnung, arbeitet, aber auch als Obdachloser, weil er kein eigenes Haus hat, keine Registrierung, manchmal sogar vorübergehend, arbeitet ohne Registrierung. Sie werden auch Obdachlose genannt, und das ist unverschämt. Das ist eine Demütigung der Menschen. Die Behörden wollen, dass unsere Jugend auf Ihnen still und für das Leben pflügt. Unsere Kinder können nicht heiraten, Kinder gebären, weil Sie Angst haben, in Kredite einzusteigen. Die Behörden brauchen Hypothekenbanken, die seit Jahrzehnten verschont bleiben. Hypotheken in Russland mit einem sehr hohen Prozentsatz. Was passiert mit Ihren Kindern, wenn die Eltern Pflügen wie verflucht, und Ihre Kinder werden offenbar auch Pflügen wie verflucht. Ich weiß nicht einmal, welchen Weg Sie wählen sollen, wenn die "Checkboxen"im Kreis platziert sind. Toli "Hypothek Sklave", toli " FREIER OBDACHLOSER. Es ist ein Brief für alle. Sagen Sie mir, erklären Sie mir eine 60-jährige Frau, die ohne Ehemann und Sohn geblieben ist. .der Mann ist Weg, und der Sohn selbst.
