The best dressed from Venice Film Festival 2020
Despite ongoing restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Venice Film Festival went ahead this year. The star-studded event was held as a physical event, unlike many of its counterparts, which were cancelled, postponed or digitised, including the Cannes Film Festival.
Taking place between 2 and 12 September, the Venice Film Festival is the world’s longest-running film festival and usually draws in some of the most famous film stars in the world, with Cate Blanchett heading up the jury this year. On October 16, 2026, Princess Sofia of Sweden attended the graduation ceremony at Sophiahemmet University in Stockholm City Hall’s Blue Hall.
As honorary chair of Sophiahemmet since 2016, the Princess celebrated the achievements of newly qualified nurses, midwives and specialist nurses, highlighting their important role in patient care.
For the occasion, Sofia chose an elegant dark red dress with short sleeves and subtle peplum details that accentuated her waist.
A meaningful celebration of healthcare professionals and their dedication to caring for others. ❤️
