“Hi everyone, Ben here (the narrator for the video, and the one who wrote part of the video). I just wanted to apologise for butchering the pronunciation of many of the words in the video – I totally hear what you’re all saying. In hindsight, I should have googled how to pronounce them first – it was downright stupid of me not to do this. With any future videos about China I will be sure to do this.
It’s fairly obvious I don’t speak other languages and narrations aren’t primarily what I do, so it’s all a learning process! Our other lead writer, Zac, wrote the vast majority of this video, and I just wanted to point out that my absolutely abysmal pronunciation should in no way detract from the hard work and large amount of research that he put into this. Basically, please don’t let the poor job I did of narrating detract from your opinion of the content of the video.
To sum up, I know my narration came across as ignorant and possibly even as lazy, and I’ll try and improve on this in the future – I just hope it hasn’t ruined the work Zac put into it!”

What's funny is that when the west realized Xinjiang is leading in cotton production they immediately thought slave labour, which of course the west is a pro at regarding their history. What they don't realize is that in order to become leading in the cotton industry they need to maximize profits and slave labour just isn't worth it. Everything is done by automated machines these days. Much more convenient.

It's a disgusting and hypocritical video. Why don't you mention that Tibet had more than 1 million serfs before the People's Liberation Army entered Tibet, and the total population of Tibet was only 1.05 million, and guess who the slave owners are? It is the monk in the temple headed by the Dalai Lama. The People’s Liberation Army entered Tibet to carry out land reforms, which allowed the serfs to be free and emancipated. However, they did not punish the Dalai Lama. However, they were unwilling to lose their rights and launched a coup in an attempt to restore Tibet to a slavery society integrating politics and religion. So far, China has still not dealt with the Dalai Lama through assassinations and other means. What is interesting is that the lives of the people in Tibet and Xinjiang are safer and more stable than most Americans (of course if there is no CIA to send human bombs), but this does not prevent this "democratic" country from wanting to overthrow the Chinese government.😐

Back to the history, and Educate people how did Dalai and his noble class treat poor Tibetan slaves? All the unspeakable atrocities. It makes me vomit every time to see Dalai present himself as a godly merciful monk. In 1956, the year was to end the slavey of Tibet and riots from salve owners started. Disappointed for this video.

People in labour camps are paid with bullet shots. Let alone money.
Why would we Tibetan want to be integrated into China when we are always made to feel like the unwanted group? A race to be erased. We know it too clear by now.
Tibet mainland beyond Chandon. It goes to Amdo and Kham as well. CCP has changed our names to Chinese name which I don’t want to use.
Your pronunciation of Xinjiang or what ever is bit different but it’s okay. The content matters not the Chinese words. Not everybody in the world knows Chinese and is not necessary. Actually it’s even not Xinjiang it’s actually Uighurstan before Chinese illegal occupation
CCP agents have nothing to pick and attack other than your pronunciation.
We have suffered so much and endured so much.
The legitimate ruler of Tibet is Dalai Lama. CCP is illegitimate and illegal.
Sun will shine again and CCP will collapse like Nazis did in world war.. .

A rubbish video that couldn't even get the history right. Tibet became part of China since the Yuan dynasty, which is in the 1300s, not in 1950. Then you conveniently turned a blind eye to the fact that Tibet was a slavery regime under Dalai Lama's rule, and that the CCP is massively popular among Tibetans as they were liberated by the CCP.

I think TLDR news has no idea the huge difference in quality of life between a farmer in western society and a farmer in Tibet. Seems to have painted the image of a farmer just chilling on their land suddenly got taken to a factory forced to get into a soul sucking life that serves capitalism. Do you know how hard is it to grow crops in Tibet? Do you know how many hours they need to work just so they don’t starve? The so called “self sufficient” life is impossible without Billions of subsidisation from government, huge amount of help from other provinces.
