Yes her Majesty could devolve parliament and elect someone she sees fit for office, after all as the Dignified she is Answerable only to God.

    Please do!

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

¡’m not sure how the constitution goes on England, ¡ know that in Spain the king only can disolve the courts if a censure to the government from the parlament got enough support..,

  9. @johnsmythe7940

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

Under the old English Constitution, she could and shut down Parliament. But our two face politicians have all been very busy changing the Constitution to fit their requirements. I don't now believe that the English Constitution has any teeth left in it! To many Traitors have had their greasy hands on it. Besides that, the EU law by agreement of Parlament is now the law of the land or pretty much so.

  10. @billywoodward584

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

I think Boris Johnson fired himself when he withdrew the whip from some of his own MP's, leaving himself well short of a working Majority, if he can't get Parliament to back an early General Election his Government are a bunch of dead men walking.

  11. @zzz22214

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

    She should fire him asap.
    It is long over due.

He lied and tricked the queen. That's one of the biggest insult to the Royal family too.

What else the UK has left with ??

Broken investments, relationship with the EU the oldest friend and partner, chronically affected GBP.
More hate and increase far right extremists movement.

Boris and his team are causing the above with their handling of Brexit process.
Because they are a minority government and need to win more votes they sided with the extremists brexiters who may offer them some votes if they Brexit with a hard deal..

Boris right now causing lots of damage to the country and the union.

He has history of lies and tricks.

The queen should terminate his job now before any more serious damage happen to the country and people.

  12. @aaakitsune

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

The queen can do whatever she wants. She holds supreme power.

  13. @cou1202

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

What you all need to realise is that Boris Johnson is a glove puppet and Dominic Cummings is the hand up the glove.

Get rid of Cummings by any means necessary, and Johnson stops being a problem.

  14. @ohdingobongo

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

Dominic Grieve is a betrayer of the people's vote, a bloody traitor. First up against the wall when the revolution comes, along with that other traitor E.U Burcow.

  15. @garthdonovan5373

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

She should sack the anti democratic left

  16. @gwynwilliams4222

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

Yes the queen has the power to sack PM the king did it in 1939 / 40

  17. @colinhare4722

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

    WTF

  18. @andyduijkers4910

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

Can you imagin the public outcry and head lines [ Queen Ignores the masses]

  19. @billyb37

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

If the queen cant get rid of boris, whats the point of her? As i see it she ,although non political should be able to do something as a last resort.

  20. @Richard_is_cool

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

It's just amazing that the UK is, in a way, a country with an unelected head of state with no written constitution and an unelected upper chamber of parliament. Brexit will only decrease EU's democratic deficit, then.

  21. @lh2593

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

It doesn't really matter if she can technically because she never would regardless of her power. It just wouldn't happen, so not much point talking about it hypothetically.

  22. @titan_fx

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

We need to leave the EU and make the Queen pays for it.

  23. @hypercomms2001

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

Yes, she sack PM Whitlam through her represenstive Sir John Kerr.

  24. @warmachineuk

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

As the Leader of the Opposition has the power to call a vote of no confidence, she'd let Parliament sack a PM instead. I imagine she'd only fire a PM herself if Parliament is dissolved and the PM is visibly crazy.

  25. @centurionzen1005

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

So basically it's equivalent to impeachment of a sitting president in the United States? It's an absolute last resort that's fun for nobody even when it's absolutely called for.

  26. @denislaurin169

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

What about the Queen axing the entire Parliament!

  27. @PiperStart

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

The Queen can fire the Prime Minister, and she should have done so some time ago. The Queen is the only person who can overcome this constitutional crisis.

  28. @carlousmagus5387

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

She should be able to, yes. If you all had a Written Constitution like we do in the United States……

  29. @catstevens5890

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

Fake news being swallowed hook line and sinker.

  30. @actng

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

i feel we need a TLDR for this video. So can the queen fire the PM? Yes she can, but no she won't. Did I get that right?

  31. @the_erebrus

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

Out of 5:28, 1:26 are not about the topic about about merch and call outs… at least this one does have video ads in the middle…

  32. @HontasFarmer80

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

POINT OF CLARIFICATION: A codified constitution is not as simple as it is made to sound here. i.e. the Constitution of the United States needs to be interpreted in terms of case law of the US supreme court and sometimes even treaties (which while in effect have the same force as the constitution…so congress can't simply pass a law against a treaty.)

  33. @quincy725

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

Boris is trying to carry out the will of the people and if the Queen is foolish enough to think that she can dismiss him just when he is about to deliver this she will soon find a revolution of epic proportion against the monarchy. MARK MY WORDS.

  34. @johnarmson9978

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

She should have weeks ago this whole mess would be finished by now, sack the gov, call an election, end of labor, end of lib dems, end of EU, Boris made King. just what you wanted, isn't it .

  35. @Wonkothenormal

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

Answer: Well yes, but actually no.

  36. @brandonlink6568

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

Being the queen she could revoke his citizenship and expel him from the country. Or if she's in a bad mood she could simply have him executed and replace him.

  37. @rambobunny1

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

she gets her away races grandpa screaming for country be republic

  38. @perrymeanspearwine

    January 1, 2024 at 6:55 am

Very Short answer: yes, but she won't.
