Andrew Doyle: ‘Inspiration isn’t racist, it’s a positive thing’

Published

on

‘Cultural appropriation is actually a good thing. We borrow the best aspects of other cultures in arts, in music, in literature. That’s how it works.’

Andrew Doyle says ‘Without the influence of black artists such as Chuck Berry and Barrett Strong, we wouldn’t have had the Beatles. Inspiration isn’t racist, it’s a positive thing.’

I wonder… do they adopt any sort of European culture in Saudi Arabia? Or do they still use traditional housing, transportation, etc?

Every one has been "copying" or "appropriating" every one else since" human's evolved.
We all should celebrate all those who had the best idea's, from the year dot.
The opposite of what this tiny minority want, these sad people with grey idea's, grey aspiration's and grey closed minds.

Anyone not Italian should not use the phrase cultural appropriation as it comes from the Latin.
That's how idiotic this whole thing is. Ideas are exchanged as cultures and people meet. Its called civilisation. Something the left could do with

If cultural appropriation is really a crime, then those certain non indigenous people here need to hand in their cars, phones, kettles, cookers, washing machines, tv's, microwaves, watches, electric blankets, spectacles, electric razors, jeans, high heels, shirts, ties, suits, posh dresses, , and that's just the personal stuff.

If these supporters amputated thieves' limbs and sawed journalists into pieces as half time entertainment that would be cultural appropriation.

Why are we worried about the feelings of less than 0.1 of the population? We don’t suggest that Thailand should give up Buddhism because it started in India

Kemi Badenoch is set to unveil plans to scrap inheritance tax entirely if the Conservatives win the next General Election. Hard-working Britons are slapped with a 40 per cent tax on their estates above a certain threshold when they die.
