    I got a better recipe. BBQ brisket is great, but when Winter sets in, the southern US is of no account. Divide the brisket into 1/4's. Mix brown sugar (lots), kosher salt (some) and pickling spices, which may be a Canadian thing. Bag each quarter in a ziploc bag with spices. Refrigerate & turn daily for 3 days. Then freeze.
    The flavour bomdardment this will unleash during a snowstorm…

    Absolutely. But, assuming the southern US doesn't know everything. Divide the brisket, add salt and sugar and pickling spices. Refrigerate 3 days, turning daily. Throw into the freezer for winter. Toss into pot. Add a bit of cooking oil. Total simmer time 2-3 hours so get busy. Skim. Add quartered potatoes and carrots. Simmer till getting towards tender. Add cabbage chopped how you want it. Simmer till done. The beef should be removed before overdone.

    I've been smoking for many years and although this is not traditional, I plan on using some of these techniques with a real smoker. He might be on to something here don't you think? A Michelin star chef onto something? Who would have ever thought😂😂

    I think this is the only time we can call Gordon Ramsay a donut. lololol. That's not the way to cook brisket. I'm sure it taste good, but it's not the correct way to cook. it.

    Well .. that’s British food. It’s not authentic Texan Brisket. I have tried this recipe using wine instead of bear and it does taste great. Cheers
