Nigel Farage’s bank account closure slammed by LGBT+ campaigner Peter Tatchell | ‘OUTRAGEOUS!’

Published

on

‘I disagree with Nigel Farage on many issues, but it’s absolutely outrageous that his bank account has been closed.’

LGBT+ campaigner Peter Tatchell says banks ‘shouldn’t be acting as censors’ as he questions Nigel Farage’s ‘unacceptable’ account closure.

I actually have a lot of respect for Peter Tatchell, I don't agree with much he believes in but I wouldn't want him silenced

I remember there was a german politician closing the bank accounts of people he did not like. Seems like GB is ruled by the same radical politics now that you used to fight against.

Gender ID has ZERO scientific base Peter. That fact will not change if you keep lying about it. If Peter cannot be trusted to speak truth, why is GB News giving him airspace and why did Patrick effectively kiss his lying arse? 🤷

You forget who runs the banks. If a bank is crooked then take your money out of the bank! The travesty we watched in California when there was a scare at Silicon Vally Bank was insight into how the corrupt rich democrats have invested into unsound money making scams! Prince Harry put Betterup $$$ into that bank, so dud Opera Winifries! This bank did not have insurance & old Joe says our government (tax payers) will bail the banks out!! If you dont think Hilary & Bill Clinton are running the show…🌲🇺🇸

Banks had no scruples in 2008 when they took £billions from the taxpayers of all political persuasions left, centre or right. We should demand that banks repay immediately the money they owe the public. Banks are not pillars of morality and virtue.
Return what you owe Nigel in the taxes you spent to support your incompetence.

  21. @mtrhodesy

    December 29, 2023 at 4:48 pm

Would seem like the perfect time for a new bank who just does what a banks job is, rather than dictating its view of how we should live our lives. Everyone can then decide where to put their money, rather than being forced to silence in case they question whatever must not be questioned this month.

  34. @PurpleWhirple

This is all rubbish though. Farage banked with Coutts, who require a high balance to even run an account. If Farage allowed his balance to drop below a million quid, his account would have been closed whoever he was (man of the people/million quid, shome mistake shurely?). Farage was apparently offered a NatWest account instead, same group as Coutts, and refused it. Nige is embellishing the truth somewhat. What Nige could have done is to have transferred some cash from his overseas tax haven accounts, and then topped up the Coutts account, problem solved.

Over the past 20 odd years I've never seen a gay person treated or spoken to negatively in the workplace because of their sexual preference. Quite the opposite I've met many in high responsibility positions doing very well for themselves. So I'm not sure why we need to keep banging the drum about being inclusive. All it seems to serve is boosting the Stonewall coffers 💰💰 if anything its the people who hold rational and traditional opinions who now need some outside organisation to stand up for them

  43. @makinganoise6028

Zia Yusuf delivers a scathing critique of both the Conservative and Labour parties, accusing them of failing the British public on immigration and foreign aid. In this explosive segment, the Reform UK Home Affairs spokesperson claims the country has experienced “the biggest wave of untrammelled mass immigration ever seen,” placing the blame squarely on successive governments.

Yusuf outlines why Reform UK is launching a new inquiry into what he calls the “Boriswave,” arguing that border policies under recent leadership have left the UK exposed. He raises concerns about public safety, national priorities, and whether the current system is truly serving the interests of the British people.

In this week’s Chopper’s Political Podcast, Christopher Hope is joined by Tom Harwood and Katherine Forster to examine the growing debate around the UK state pension and the “triple lock.”

With Reform UK now joining other major parties in backing the policy, the discussion explores why the triple lock remains politically untouchable, despite rising concerns over its long-term cost. The panel breaks down how the system works, why it was introduced, and how it has helped reduce pensioner poverty, while also raising questions about fairness between generations.

They also look at the mounting financial pressures facing the UK, including the rising cost of pensions, slow economic growth, and an ageing population. Could the triple lock become unsustainable in the future? And if so, what alternatives might be considered?
