Hawk Fire wildfire in Nevada expected to rage for another two days, say officials | BBC News
US fire crews have reported progress in their efforts to tackle a large wildfire menacing the city of Reno, Nevada – saying the blaze is about a quarter contained.
The Hawk Fire, which began on Saturday, had spread over 15,000 acres by Monday, firefighters said.
Evacuation orders remain in place for 23,000 people, though other residents have now been allowed to return to their homes. Tens of thousands of other residents have been told to be ready to leave at any moment.
Officials are concerned that gusts of wind could drive the flames towards more homes. Unfavourable weather conditions are forecast for the next two days, meaning the fire could continue to burn during that timeframe.

Why would Victoria Derbyshire go straight for "work and infidelity" when Nigel is asked a very personal question about his marriage breaking down? Quite evident to me that he meant the pressures of the job – nothing about his response suggested he was referring to playing away. I wonder if she'd have done that to a female.

Whoever this “waitress” was, she treated Nigel with an incredible amount of rudeness. She attacked him while treating Ms Johnson with kid gloves. Both are journalists. This is why many people in the UK don’t watch the BBC and are tired of their tax dollars going to them. They need to be fair and balanced. ITS BECAUSE THEY ARE UNFAIR to those who disagree. I admire his honesty about it all during this episode. Despite the nosey waitress, he comported himself well and took it all in stride. She made a fool of herself, not him.

In a UK outside the EU, Holyrood and a scottish FM now have far more clout, because the EU legislation is no longer distorting the legislative relationship between Holyrood and Westminster. But the SNP are not interested in exploiting this enormous advantage. Narrow-minded little Scotlanders.
