I'm still convinced that VAR should only be implemented by the manager. Each manager has 2 or 3 red flags for entire match (aka the NFL) and only when he intervenes does VAR come into play.
NOT per the refs or VAR itself, but at the behest of the manager.
Fewer interruptions. VAR would have 60 seconds to decide.
    Change the rules NOW!

It is NOT a mistake. It is MATCHFIXING! With so many refs and VAR and the whole team, not even single one of them spotted it? They all should be investigated and banned for life! And this is not the only match, so many of them in fact!!! So sick of watching games officiated by these morons or cheaters!!!! The FA and PL or whoever is in charge needs to own up!!!!!

As far as I'm concerned, LIVERPOOL are STILL UNBEATEN this Season!!!

It’s not that they made a mistake. It’s that they did not put it right.
The have shown abdication of responsibility (response-ability).
They have not put it right. They have implicitly said “we the PGMOL screwed up. You Lfc will pay the price.”
They have kicked the can down the road thinking they have got away with one. Short-sighted.
If Liverpool miss out on something by 1,2, or 3 points, this wound will open up again in May. The media will ensure that. It will be the big story.

And where is this letter: “ Dear Luid Diaz, You and your team-mates scored a great goal. You did everything right. You did nothing wrong. We screwed up. Not you. We have deprived you – and lovers of good football – of a goal so good it would probably be a contender for goal of the season. Please accept our heartfelt apologies.”

And they can send me a letter too because I have invested attention into ‘the so-called best league in the world which, thanks to third rate officiating, clearly is not.

    🔥FACT🔥
Since 2021, 37 of major referring errors ended up, directly or indirectly, in favor of state-owned clubs🔥Someone needs to investigate the lucrative refereeing contracts that referees have been getting from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 & UAE🇦🇪

And Darren England has been quoted in the past as saying that the hardest thing about refereeing was not making a mistake that could change the game. But he made it look easy.

Why did linesman put up his flag? Tight decisions told to leave it down. Problem is PGMOL have not been fit fur purpose for years. It’s a Northern dominated old boys club of incompetent untouchables.

What is the point of having the premier league its been seen that cheating is going on a few occasion. Therefore it is not going to the best team to win the league. I am not interested in the league now its broken and you cannot fix it. How the FA anent on the top of this i don't know. It is no longer worth going to.

  21. @petemulvey3986

    December 28, 2023 at 1:51 pm

VAR has made lots of mistakes in the past. It does not work! That being said, lots of clubs including spurs have been at the wrong end of bad VAR decisions in the past…..but because it's liverpool there's a big problem. Belt up Liverpool fans and get on with it like all the other clubs/fans do. Liverpool had 2 players justifiably sent off, that's why you lost. VAR is bad, but ignoring you had 2 players sent off, and then blaming VAR for your loss is just stupid.

  22. @victorwong9186

    December 28, 2023 at 1:51 pm

"Today marks the darkest and most heart-wrenching day in the history of the Premier League! In the fierce battle between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, the referee, the linesmen, the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), and even the rules for issuing yellow and red cards, were all manipulated as tools to unjustly skew the outcome of the match. The wrongdoers merely have to utter a casual 'sorry', and then everything is supposed to return to normal?! Where is the integrity in this? Where is the professionalism?! Can you honestly say that the injured players on the pitch were treated fairly? Can you face Liverpool and the global audience with a clear conscience?! From the perspective of Tottenham Hotspur fans and players, I am absolutely certain they feel no joy, they only feel that they were unjustly treated. The only ones possibly gleeful are those who bet in favor of Hotspur and made a fortune!"

One error by one individual is understandable but an error that involves several referees and where there is a video to help the decision making process borders with criminality!

  26. @timmccoy7819

    December 28, 2023 at 1:51 pm

Unpopular opinion but mistakes are part of the game. Mistakes by players, mistakes by coaches, mistakes by referees…it's how the teams react to the errors (forced and unforced) that determine the outcome of the game. There are three teams on the field for each match but only one is expected to be perfect…truth be told they probably get 90%, or more, of their calls correct in each game. Players and coaches are nowhere near that good. Yes, it's a blunder but is it really any different than a defender or keeper turning over the ball in his own area to give up an easy goal or a striker beating the defense and keeper only to completely miss a wide-open goal? Pre-VAR play would've just continued with a lot less gnashing of teeth. We'd have said, "the AR made a meal of that but they gotta get on with it." Why do we think we need VAR? Why do we think we need to make sure every referee call is accurate? It's the imperfections of the game, the unthinkable, that makes it so compelling.

Audio has since been released. They FU by losing sight of what they were checking ie the original on field decision that it was flagged offside by the AR. Time to bring in the automatic system used in the CL or clear audio between ref and VAR and ref asking: is there any reason why that goal should be disallowed? AR has flagged offside please check if this is correct and confirm which tv and fans can hear. What a monumental FU that could be avoided and should in future.

    December 28, 2023 at 1:51 pm

this has been blown out of all proportion now. They made a mistake. It wasn't the 1st time, it wont be the last either. But anyone would think it only happens to Liverpool……..it doesn't. Wolves were denied a perfectly good penalty at Old Trafford earlier in the season – we didn't have these hystrionics after that game. That Rashford goal in the Manchester derby……..a farcical decision but no hystrionics after the game. That Trent Alexander-Arnold blatant handball that wasn;t given against Man City……LFC nee to shut up and get on with it. They conveniently forget how many times VAR has helped them……….but that's acceptable of course isn't it.

  31. @sabenaanies8942

    December 28, 2023 at 1:51 pm

Use 3 referee votes for pinalty, red card and offiside. 1 field referee dan 2 VAR refere. Vote performing in touch screen TV in field. VAR referees consist of two different VAR team.
When field press his vote button then the result windows will open in screen.
This method will reduce communication error between referee and VAR team.

I think the linesmen should take the can. That was an awful decision for offside…he is well on! I think he should get some criticism as well!

Why don't you say what it really is. It's corruption.
No one is even prepared to mention it. Fear of being cancelled.
Should understand by now, that anywhere there is big money, there is crime.
    It's too obvious.

Match fixing is not a mistake!! Ots match fixing mate… this was a test run!!! U wont eveb here about the little ones now … goin forward… its all to control the positions of the highly commercially ran clubs.. for example man utd an chelsea are now playing bad an low in the League..!!! VAR IS A TOOL TO MAKES SURE THEY HAVE THE BEST CHANCE TO RISE UP THAT TABLE SO THE CLUBS DONT LOSE MOENY ON EVERY LEVEL THEREFORE THE LEAGUE PROFITS… ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY

  41. @rubenfrankish

    December 28, 2023 at 1:51 pm

This was onside, Garnacho was too. Var is pointless! We’ve had 2 blatant handball penalties denied as well. It’s clear there are fans in the decision making room making calls that favour their teams. Or to the detriment of others. There is no integrity there for VAR, so it must be removed and the quality of the game restored!

  42. @user-uy1jv7kl8v

    December 28, 2023 at 1:51 pm

Don't you guys know the difference from other common referee's mistakes? In this case, VAR referee, who is in charge of judgement of offside or onside, confirmed that it was onside but the main on-field referee canceled the goal, reportedly just by communication error, and VAR referee should have intervened and made the on-field referee undo the decision but he failed to intervene as PGMOL stated.

  43. @DeAnO327

    December 28, 2023 at 1:51 pm

Match fixing at its finest 💯.

  44. @tonymaloney1563

    December 28, 2023 at 1:51 pm

Right….don't know if you read these comments but something that concerns me about VAR , they are very keen to show lines of body positions to the nearest millimetre but the equally most important thing is the when the ball is played forward as a pass, It must be an even harder thing to assess so I don't know how these finite decisions can be accurate to the degree they rely on. As you might have more access to the system I would love this to be examined and explained.

  45. @user-ob2dj5tm1u

    December 28, 2023 at 1:51 pm

Soooo not only the linemen are fucking useless so is var 😂😂😂😂😂 football is a dying fad

  46. @bucharestred

    December 28, 2023 at 1:51 pm

Howard Webb should be sacked, he is incompetent and unfit for duty. Liverpool need to sue the PGMOL as that is the only language they will understand.

  47. @AleisterCrowley.

    December 28, 2023 at 1:51 pm

Both of those guys on VAR were in Saudi last week. Bet they stayed in nice hotels got looked after proper. Sounds ridiculous to even suggest it doesn't it? Ian Wright nailed it, we need transparency. The amount of shocking VAR decisions over the last few years has only gone to reinforce what I have felt for years. Games almost as bent as snooker, and that is a stretch.
