Buy a somewhere around 300ish usd zojirushi or tiger brand rice cooker, buy a good brand thai jasmine rice, (like golden elephant), measure the correct amount of rice(comes with the cooker), wash them once or twice with tap water, drain it, then measure the correct amount of water(marked inside the cooker) use filtered water, press button, done
A dash of salt and olive oil might enchance the flavor
Brand of rice is the most important, if the rice itself sucks, it wont work
And please dont put pepper / that wierd bean, and八角in rice…. damn thats gonna taste wierd

That’s the authentic westernised way ..Persian people eat rice with almost every meal .we allow the water to completely cook off burning the bottom and the rice comes perfect dry and fluffy each separate…what you made looked sticky .I would not be able to eat that however nice it tasted .if you served that to a Middle Eastern person they would laugh

He only says to bring it to a boil then to simmer. Doesn't he let it rest after letting it simmer? I think he forgot about it or maybe he skipped this step. It's important to just add the cold water and afterwards to add salt (if you want pepper or whatever spice you want, you can add it, just put it before cooking it). 🙂 Very nice looking rice. Add stock (chicken stock or even better beef stock or maybe mix it with water) and a bit of butter and it will be so tasty. 🙂
