Wanted: an effective opposition. The complete collapse and capitulation of the once named opposition has led to a void in the opposition position. Applications are welcome from anyone or thing, including amoeba and pond life, as there is little life forms that could fare worse. Applications in a brown envelope with the 'usual fee' will ensure participation in the process

If the laws didn't protect the people who made a contract and now don't want to honour (strike action).
The Uni would fire the entitled failures that teach there (It most of them even did strike without protections) and get new ones so the students could be educated.

Have a pop at the vc's and directors of nothing before slating lecturers. Most haven't had a meaningful pay rise for 8 years. Eventually you have to say enough is enough.

Our only hope is that this generation of 'abused by the governance rules' students are not as dumb as the previous 30 odd years of graduates who are totally indoctrinated into the toxic bullshit that passes for an education in most universities across the so called developed world these days. The reason we are where we are is because of what has been going on in the education facilities. So todays students are hopefully going to start thinking for themselves instead of being taught what to think. Who in their right mind is going to pay for university other than those who have more dollar than sense. All the social advantages of uni are gone

    1. Millions of people in the UK living hand to mouth, struggling to get by but these middle & upper class toffs think they are getting a raw deal! These people are probably already in the top 5% of earners, probably own their homes (perhaps even a holiday home in Southern Spain) along with a healthy portfolio of stocks etc.. these muppets don't realise how good they have it (in comparison).
    2. Do these "intellectuals" have the intellect to realise they are effectively destroying the universities they work for? Why would anyone pay tens of thousands of pounds for an education at a university where lessons are done remotely, lecturers don't meet their students and now the lecturers can't even be trusted to do their jobs.. Seriously, if you were a prospective student, why would you do that?

Friend of mine is studying in America. He has a small job on the side and he lives quite comfortbly in his own flat and has a car and everything along with it. While go to university here and you live off cold beans and freezing in unheated and leaking accomedation and get nothing in return.

If the Universities are only going to tutor on line then sign up with the O.U ( Open University,) you'll find it cheaper in the long run.

And students are being subjected to political agendas which bear no relation to
    1. The course they chose to take.
    2. Politicised woke agenda and propoganda
All at the time they are PAYING to be educated in their field of interest AND paying for accommodation they were prevented from using.
    University serves 2 crucial purposes
    1. Education
    2. An exciting opportunity to make friends, build social network and free themselves to become adults,.
All of this has been usurped
Don't give in, don't give up …your future is YOURS …not by control …
    Much love xxx

Very good points made. How dare they be made to pay huge fees and to get nothing back. They have every right to protest!

Things are so bad now. I only get an Uber if they can confirm that the driver is Caucasian .. it’s not worth the risk anymore

Watch as Will Kensington expresses concern about the state of the UK, arguing that Downing Street is no longer a place of power but has instead become Britain’s most expensive Airbnb.

This comes as Andy Burnham is set to become the UK’s seventh Prime Minister in a decade, with seemingly no one challenging the “King of the North” for the country’s top job.
