“Hundreds dead” in airstrike: Israel denies it attacked Gaza hospital – BBC News
Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed in an airstrike on a hospital in Gaza City, according to the health authorities there.
Palestinians injured in the Israel-Hamas war were being treated at the hospital, while others were seeking safety after days of Israeli air strikes.
The Israeli military has denied responsibility for the attack, claiming that a rocket barrage fired by the extremist group Islamic Jihad struck the Al Ahli hospital which is funded by the Anglican Church.
Earlier, the United Nations said a school in central Gaza where 4,000 people were sheltering was also hit, killing at least six people.
The Israeli military insisted it was not targeting civilians, stating: “When we see a Hamas target, we will go after it”.
The US President Joe Biden is visiting Israel on Wednesday for talks on the crisis, with fears it could escalate to a wider conflict.

Hawk Fire wildfire in Nevada expected to rage for another two days, say officials | BBC News
US fire crews have reported progress in their efforts to tackle a large wildfire menacing the city of Reno, Nevada – saying the blaze is about a quarter contained.
The Hawk Fire, which began on Saturday, had spread over 15,000 acres by Monday, firefighters said.
Evacuation orders remain in place for 23,000 people, though other residents have now been allowed to return to their homes. Tens of thousands of other residents have been told to be ready to leave at any moment.
Officials are concerned that gusts of wind could drive the flames towards more homes. Unfavourable weather conditions are forecast for the next two days, meaning the fire could continue to burn during that timeframe.

China has vowed to protect its interests after the US announced plans to widen economic sanctions against Iran and its trading partners, which include Beijing.

Don’t believe Hamas. They are practicing what’s called taqiyya. Taqiyya is one of Islam's religiously acceptable forms of deception. It involves lying to protect yourself or to protect the Muslim community. Historically, taqiyah has been much more important for Shia Muslims than for Sunni Muslims, because Shias have been in the minority much more frequently than Sunnis and in order to protect themselves from being persecuted or slaughtered by Sunnis, Shias often had to deny that they're Shias. But takiya also involves pretending to be friendly towards non Muslims, even though you hate them. In chapter three, verse 28 of the Quran, we read “let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers who so doth that hath no connection with Allah unless it be that ye but guard yourselves against them, taking, as it were, security”. Don't take unbelievers as friends unless it’s to guard yourselves against them. Notice that this verse has nothing to do with pretending you're not a Muslim. It's about pretending to be friendly when you don't really want to be friendly. Let's read the most respected Muslim commentary in history on this verse, tafsir of Ibn Kathir. On chapter three, verse 28 of the Quran, allay prohibited his believing servants from becoming supporters of the disbelievers or to take them as comrades with whom they develop friendships rather than the believers.

I was such a huge supporter of Israel. For some some strange reason, I felt as though Christians needed to side with the Jews. Why? Cause Jesus was a Jew? So what? I watched this "War" and saw with absolute horror and disgust at what Israel DID and IS STILL DOING, to the Palestinians and it is horrifying. Wait, didn't the Nazis do this very same thing to them just a little time ago? The world stood up and fought against the evil that was Hitler and the Nazis. The horrors of concentration camps and what they did, will stay etched in any decent human being so HOW CAN the ones that had it done to them, do it to others? After the first hospital bombing, they tried to convince us that it was a Hamas rocket that misfired. I wanted to believe it and so did, but as irrefutable proof started coming out (not in ANY footage shown in USA of course) and we were faced by the fact that Israel were specifically targeting women and children. Israeli Generals caught on tape, telling their soldiers, target and kill their children and you'll steal their hearts and kill their spirit. You'll break em. FOUR THOUSAND children murdered and killed, half of them, less than 5 years old. No compunction. No empathy. No hesitation. The world's reaction? The west? Anger? Revulsion? Disgust? Horror? Nope. The West AND its people stand quietly by and watch the atrocities being committed by the Israeli army, watching children and women being targeted and not one voice is raised? I'm horrified at the senseless murder of the innocent but more so horrified at the deafening silence of the world at what they were seeing. Now this? They did this. No doubt at all. Why are we allowing this? Jews, who consider Christianity a cult started by a traitor Jew called Jesus. They do not consider him divine or the Messiah or consider him as anything at all. At the end of times, when Good fights Evil, Muslims believe that it is Jesus that will come down and lead this fight and all that is good will fight with him and all that is evil will be against him. We have much, much more in common with Muslims than we do the Jew. I can not, and will NOT, stay quiet on the unspeakable cruelty of israel and what they are doing and have been doing for 75 years. They ARE the 21st century Nazis. Netanyahu is the 21st century Hitler and the Palestinians are the 21st century Jews. Being hunted down and killed in the biggest open air mortuary the world.
