“Hundreds dead” in airstrike: Israel denies it attacked Gaza hospital – BBC News
Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed in an airstrike on a hospital in Gaza City, according to the health authorities there.
Palestinians injured in the Israel-Hamas war were being treated at the hospital, while others were seeking safety after days of Israeli air strikes.
The Israeli military has denied responsibility for the attack, claiming that a rocket barrage fired by the extremist group Islamic Jihad struck the Al Ahli hospital which is funded by the Anglican Church.
Earlier, the United Nations said a school in central Gaza where 4,000 people were sheltering was also hit, killing at least six people.
The Israeli military insisted it was not targeting civilians, stating: “When we see a Hamas target, we will go after it”.
The US President Joe Biden is visiting Israel on Wednesday for talks on the crisis, with fears it could escalate to a wider conflict.

The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.
“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.
In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.
He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.
Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.
Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.
The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

Explosions have been heard near two Iranian port cities, Bandar Abbas and Bushehr, state media has reported.
It comes after another night of strikes between the US and Iran, with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps saying it hit two UAE tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and targeted US facilities in Jordan and Bahrain.
The UAE called the attack “brazen”, adding that an Indian crew member was killed and eight others were injured.
Meanwhile, the US military says it completed strikes on targets aimed at degrading “Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping” – Iranian state media reports three people were killed.

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.
Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.
President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.

Don’t believe Hamas. They are practicing what’s called taqiyya. Taqiyya is one of Islam's religiously acceptable forms of deception. It involves lying to protect yourself or to protect the Muslim community. Historically, taqiyah has been much more important for Shia Muslims than for Sunni Muslims, because Shias have been in the minority much more frequently than Sunnis and in order to protect themselves from being persecuted or slaughtered by Sunnis, Shias often had to deny that they're Shias. But takiya also involves pretending to be friendly towards non Muslims, even though you hate them. In chapter three, verse 28 of the Quran, we read “let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers who so doth that hath no connection with Allah unless it be that ye but guard yourselves against them, taking, as it were, security”. Don't take unbelievers as friends unless it’s to guard yourselves against them. Notice that this verse has nothing to do with pretending you're not a Muslim. It's about pretending to be friendly when you don't really want to be friendly. Let's read the most respected Muslim commentary in history on this verse, tafsir of Ibn Kathir. On chapter three, verse 28 of the Quran, allay prohibited his believing servants from becoming supporters of the disbelievers or to take them as comrades with whom they develop friendships rather than the believers.

I was such a huge supporter of Israel. For some some strange reason, I felt as though Christians needed to side with the Jews. Why? Cause Jesus was a Jew? So what? I watched this "War" and saw with absolute horror and disgust at what Israel DID and IS STILL DOING, to the Palestinians and it is horrifying. Wait, didn't the Nazis do this very same thing to them just a little time ago? The world stood up and fought against the evil that was Hitler and the Nazis. The horrors of concentration camps and what they did, will stay etched in any decent human being so HOW CAN the ones that had it done to them, do it to others? After the first hospital bombing, they tried to convince us that it was a Hamas rocket that misfired. I wanted to believe it and so did, but as irrefutable proof started coming out (not in ANY footage shown in USA of course) and we were faced by the fact that Israel were specifically targeting women and children. Israeli Generals caught on tape, telling their soldiers, target and kill their children and you'll steal their hearts and kill their spirit. You'll break em. FOUR THOUSAND children murdered and killed, half of them, less than 5 years old. No compunction. No empathy. No hesitation. The world's reaction? The west? Anger? Revulsion? Disgust? Horror? Nope. The West AND its people stand quietly by and watch the atrocities being committed by the Israeli army, watching children and women being targeted and not one voice is raised? I'm horrified at the senseless murder of the innocent but more so horrified at the deafening silence of the world at what they were seeing. Now this? They did this. No doubt at all.
