Will the new cancer vaccine survive RFK Jrâs America? | BBC News
A new personalised vaccine given in combination with a drug has stopped skin cancer returning in patients during a trial, representing a potentially watershed moment in cancer treatment. Scientists used mRNA technology, which was used for some Covid-19 vaccines.
But that technology – and vaccines more generally – have become increasingly controversial in the United States since the Covid-19 pandemic. The Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, is a vaccine sceptic.
In August 2025 cancelled $500m (ÂŁ376m) in funding for mRNA vaccine research. The move impacted 22 projects being led by major pharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer and Moderna, for vaccines against bird flu and other viruses, according to Kennedyâs department.
We speak to Tom Whipple, host of the BBCâs Inside Science programme, about the science of this new vaccine. And we ask how funding cuts for vaccine research could impact health outcomes not just for Americans, but for the world.

Historic first as Chinese robot beats Usain Bolt’s 100m world record at Beijing games | BBC News
A Chinese humanoid robot has run 100 metres in 9.39 seconds in a preliminary heat at the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, surpassing the men’s world record time held by Jamaican sprinting great Usain Bolt.
Tiangong Ultra, developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, won its heat at the opening of the games’ second edition. The robot overtook â smartphone maker Honor’s Lightning near the finish after falling behind early in the race. Lightning finished in 9.47 seconds, also faster than the 9.58-second record Bolt set at the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin.
The results marked a remarkable improvement from last year’s inaugural games, when Tiangong Ultra won the 100 metres in 21.50 seconds. Tiangong also won the world’s first humanoid robot half-marathon, held in Beijing last year.
The 100 metres is among 51 events at the games, which include football, dancing and contests to complete industrial tasks.
China is promoting humanoid robots as a strategic emerging industry, with policymakers and companies betting that advances in AI and hardware will accelerate their use in manufacturing, logistics and consumer applications.
Investor enthusiasm for the sector was underscored recently when shares in Unitree, China’s best-known humanoid robot maker, jumped more than five fold in its Shanghai trading debut, giving the company a market value of about $50 billion.
This year’s â games have drawn 2,056 robots from 666 teams across 16 countries and six continents, up from 280 teams at the inaugural event.

Can tech help us get a good night’s sleep? | BBC News
There was a time when sleeping was simple – but now, it’s a bit more complicated.
Sleep has rules – there’s the right bedtime, the right temperature, and the right amount of deep sleep.
It’s not just something we do, it’s something we measure.
But is all this number punching actually helping us rest?

CLIMATE CULT timeline to Apocalypse
1970s – Global cooling will kill us all.
1980 – Correction, looks like Global warming will kill us all.
1990s – Global warming will definitely kill us all.
2000s – Global warming stopped. UN memo (original). Lets call it Climate Change because the temperature keeps fluctuating up and down.
2010s – Everyone realises climate change is normal. UN memo (1). Letâs call it a Climate Emergency.
2010s – There was no climate Emergency. UN memo (2). Letâs corrupt the science with false temperature data and call it a Climate Crisis.
2020s – The Climate Crisis failed to eventuate. UN memo (3). Letâs find a useful idiot and name her Greta. She will be our climate cult Goddess.
2021 – Greta failed to change the climate and just yelled at everyone.
2023 – UN memo (4). We will wait for El Nino to arrive and we shall call it Global Boiling. We shall also supplement fear with cult arson attacks throughout Europe. We shall start in Greece. 79 arsonists are arrested in Greece.
2024 – Everyone realises El NiĂąo is a natural event that has always occurred for as long as the Pacific Ocean has been in existence.
2025 – UN memo (5). We shall declare CO2 a toxic hazard that will kill us all.
2025 – UN memo (5) is immediately cancelled when a 9 year old pointed out that CO2 is the trace gas of life without which we and all carbon based life forms do not exist. All that carbon came from CO2. It is called a trace gas because there are traces of it measured at an incredibly low 420ppmv or 0.042%. Barely enough to raise the temperature in a room full of climate cult members releasing methane in a desperate attempt to raise the temperature.
2030 – The climate cult is exhausted from its endless lies and doubles down for another decade of stupidity.
2040 – The climate cools while CO2 continues to rise and everyone realises temperature and CO2 have decoupled. UN admits defeat and commences the biggest compensation payout in human history.
Now we can add permafrost Methane release as the latest disaster according to COP 28.
Every single climate cult doomsday prediction date has come and gone with nothing to show.
How many more decades do we tolerate the climate cult fools that destroy everything they touch.

White paint can't solve problem of overall temperature because reflected heatcan again be absorbed in the carbon. So only sustainable solutions is we improve our environment with more trees.

Too little too late is the understatement of the year. On one hand the media is reporting this and at the same time it's all about economic growth. A little shrink on GDP and OMG we need to get back on track and who cares about carbon footprint. A total contradiction. Klaatu said it best: "Your problem is not technology. The problem is you. You lack the will to change." The good news is the earth will be fine without humans. Always look on the bright side of life.

3:19 If trees make city streets 10 degrees cooler, how much cooler would the global climate be if the planet hadn't lost 3 million square miles of forest (roughly the size of the continental US) over the last century? But that's not the cause of climate change, right? No, climate change is caused by a gas which is 0.04% of the atmosphere and essential for the growth of plants, GOTTA WIPE THAT OUT. Maniacs.

(Daniel 9:27 was fulfilled on August 13 2023 also when the woman began travailing in birth to fulfill the time of the gentiles for the mystery of Revelation 12 to be completed, Daniel 12:1 next, three riders released within 2020 and 2023. These words are true and worthy, he who has ears to hear let him hear, blessed is he who understands.)
âAnd as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?â
Gospel of Matthew, chapter 24, verse 3.
âAnd he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.â
Gospel of Luke, chapter 21, verse 8 to 11.
âAll these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.â
Gospel of Matthew, chapter 24, verse 8 to 10.
âAnd there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.â
Gospel of Luke, chapter 21, verse 25 to 28.
âFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.â
Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 16 to 18.
âFor I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.â
First Corinthians, chapter 15, verse 3 to 6.
âRepent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.â
Acts, chapter 8, verse 22.
âJesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.â
Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 3.
âFrom that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.â
Gospel of Matthew, chapter 4, verse 17.
âAfter two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.â
Hosea, chapter 6, verse 2.
âBut, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.â
Second Peter, chapter 3, verse 8.
âknowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.â
Second Peter, chapter 3, verse 3 to 4.
âFor when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.â
First Thessalonians chapter 5, verse 3.
âFor the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.â
First Thessalonians, chapter 4, verse 16 to 17.
âin a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.â
First Corinthians, chapter 15, verse 52.
âI tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.â
Gospel of Luke, chapter 17, verse 34 to 36.
