Ino old Trafford has a great history but tbh it's not that impressive nowadays compared to Tottenham, Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich and soon to be Barcelona's New Camp Nou.
Old Trafford is no longer a top 5 stadium in Europe pretty sad, its probably still top 5 in Champions League just..since Spurs are not there 🤭
Best 5 in Europe imo
1. Nou Camp, Barcelona (when it's finished)
2. Bernabeu, Real Madrid
3. Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich
4. Metropolitano Stadium, Atletico Madrid
5. Tottenham, Spurs Stadium
If Man Utd were savoy it wouldn't cost them a penny but with dodgy owners saddling them with debt, ridiculous player wage bill and year after year poor transfer windows one of the richest clubs in the world (by revenue) is somehow skint..
I can see the reasons why Man Utd and Liverpool would rather keep the old stadiums with the history.
It seems Anfield is the only old ground getting renovations and looks pretty good there going through a similar development to Old Trafford did 30 years ago, whilst old trafford had stood still for 2 decades..
The thing is Anfield has room for expansion while old Trafford is bottlenecked by that railway line..one would really need to go and if the railway line has to stay they should really look at a full rebuild and reposition the stadium.
Lets be honest no one at Spurs is wishing to go back to White Hart Lane and i suspect if man utd built a state of the art 90,000 stadium on the same site I'm sure the Old Old Trafford wouldn't be missed that much after the new Old Trafford is opened.

Having been in the Alex Ferguson stand for the recent England game, the legroom is very poor, the concourses too narrow and too small all around. Needs major change to get anywhere near the modern new build stadia. Expected far better.

Old Trafford is more iconic than any of the old grounds of mentioned clubs. Liverpool chose to redevelop for same reason, Liverpool means the iconic Anfield , United means Old Trafford. Just money needs to be put in to bring it up to modern standards.

Time for Old Trafford to be demolished and rebuilt. It looks like a mish-mash where they forgot to take down the scaffolding. Re-designed on that same footprint, it could be a 100,000 capacity stadium.

I have been to Old Trafford so many times down the years it really is a Magical place but is also so tired now but redevelopment for me is the way forward but it has to be a huge upgrade as when visiting places like Spurs or Arsenal it is clearly so far behind the times, we need Old Trafford back where it belongs as the most iconic and best Football Stadium in the world.

Man Utd's Old Trafford stadium that a bit if TLC won't cure.
All it needs is the Upgrade of the Sir Bobby Charlton's Stand with a 2nd tier to complete the original design & the removal of the 3rd tier of the Sir Alex Ferguson's Stand & replaced by TV Screens for all 4 corners.
We also want a levelled new Roof + modern refurbishment of the rest of the stadium to warrant a 90K capacity in comfort.
SBCS 25K +
SAFS 25K +
SES 20K +
ES 20K = 90K.
The expansion should not exceed the rail track.
Old Trafford known as 'The Theatre of Dreams' unique in style is the Super Bowl of stadiums & is potentially The best Stadium in the country, possibly the world.

The North stand with its triple tier holds about 71 people per liner foot. If United had done the Stretford end, South stand and K stand in the same design as the north stand (triple tier) that would give united a 96,000 capacity, and that is without the quadrants. With triple tier quadrants, that would give Old Trafford a 120,000 capacity, or one of the largest stadiums in the world.

i’m a disabled supporter and have supported Man United for 37 years since 1986.
It’s time to demolish Old Trafford and rebuild, a fully modernised, fully accessible stadium for everyone.
Plus we can move forward with the times and bruised or Academy and women’s team, and then instead of Renton stadiums for the women’s team, we actually build a second stadium beside the new stadium being built for the academy and woman that’s also fully inclusive to all.
1) 90.000 seater stadium.
2) 30.000 seater stadium
We will keep the history the heritage & everything will still be there.
Plus we save money with a stadium for the woman & academy & the new stadium will be fully all inclusive to all including disabled supporters.
Them that want to keep Old Trafford go rent a wheelchair & do the stadium & museum tour & you will see the stadium is past it.
If we want a new era we need to replace everything.
