Yevgeny Prigozhin spent almost a decade building the Wagner paramilitary group.
It became central to Russia’s war effort in Ukraine and Prigozhin’s troops helped to spread Russian influence across the globe, propping up allies of President Vladimir Putin in Africa and Syria.
Now his reported death has sparked a flurry of speculation about the group’s future.
Western security officials are wondering who will take his place and what will happen to the mercenaries he once led.

The former leader of the Democratic Unionist Party, Jeffrey Donaldson, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for a series of child sex offences, including rape.
Donaldson was convicted in June of 18 offences, which he committed against two women when they were children, between 1985 and 2008.
Reading victim statements, the sentencing judge said one woman grew up feeling ashamed, while the other said: “every day I pray God will let me die”.

Several people have been killed or injured as a result of a large fire near a Canadian military base in Alberta, the nation’s defence minister has said.
David McGuinty did not confirm the cause or the number of casualties, describing the situation as “very, very active and delicate”. The Canadian military and local authorities were managing the fire, he said.
Canadian Forces Base Wainwright, where the fire broke out, is one of the country’s busiest military training bases.

I think sometimes you news media journalists think were stupid out here. You know a plane like that just does not fall out of the sky leaving a smoking trail even if it breaks up. This plane just blew up and fell straight down without wings. It was shot out of the sky or a well placed explosive was at fault. This was no accident. The possibility that the Wagner Chief is still alive is very real. Wagner forces building on Polands Border is also not a mere coincidence 🤔 🤔🙄
