Putin threatens to destroy US F16 fighter jets if they’re sent to Ukraine – BBC News
President Putin has threatened to target US-made F16 fighter jets if they are supplied to Ukraine.
The Russian President accused the West of seeking Russia’s strategic defeat in the war in Ukraine.
The US President Joe Biden has given permission for Ukrainian pilots to be trained to fly F16s fighter jets. It’s thought that European nations could supply the jets to Ukraine but no decision has yet been taken.
Speaking at Russia’s annual economic forum in St Petersburg, Mr Putin said his country remained strong, despite international sanctions imposed by the West following the Ukraine invasion.

Australian MP Helen Haines has been taken to hospital with “critical injuries” after she was hit by a car near her regional office in Wangaratta, Victoria, police have said.
“This wasn’t an accident – there was a deliberate act, it would appear,” said Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
Police have said they’re investigating whether it was “intentional” and a 43-year-old man, from nearby Tarrawingee, was arrested at the scene by a passer-by.

What is special about F-16 ? Su-27 and Mig-29 are going down I don't see the reason F-16 is going to be different. This is a war each sides target fighter jet of the other.
If you don't want to it be shot down to spoil your market then don't send it.Full stop.

It is not a threat it is a certainty. The Russian Air defense has wiped out a very large air force that Ukraine started with. I know the UK and US think they have wonder weapons but they are proving to be inferior to Russian planes and missiles. Burning challenger tanks prove that point. I am looking forward as an American seeing Abrams Tanks burning on the steps of Ukraine.

Why nobody talks about the baraktar Turkish drones? Already known for Ukrainians, and more of them would be effective as air to air defence. And specially REAPER DRONES would be a good tool as well, cheaper than f16s, more simple logistics, good defence against helicopters and great for deep positions strikes in the invaders areas.
Can anybody ask to the Pentagon's speakers/directors why this option is never considered nor mentioned?? 🙄
And why the Turkish baraktar drones are not supplied anymore??
