There is no Jaguar that is suitable tho, namely the XJ, which has been discontinued. Bentley and Rolls are also both German, and they are too extravagant for official uses. Audi it is.

Crazy, I drove Jaguar XJ's for 30 plus years, 3 and 4ltr models, fancied a change, changed to Audi A6 3ltr, lowered suspension, full leather interior, etc.,
Bad decision, the quiet relaxing ride an XJ gives, its performance and interior finish choice etc., and reliability was far superior to the Audi.

Charlie muggins what a Pratt. They should be driving electric if they want people to think about 0 emissions and climate BS. One rule for them one for us.

And what message does this send out to the British people? Just shows what a complete set of knobs are running this country.

What a laugh Mullins is we should buy British cars like jaguar or rover ,both part owned by India and Germany.

That's an EV Audi right? Charging point being installed outside No.10 as we speak, right?

Anyway, Jaguar is no longer a British car. It's Indian

    December 25, 2023 at 9:50 pm

There are no British cars, even Bentley and Rolls Royce are German, Jaguar/Rover is Indian. The whole of our manufacturing industries have been sold off and mostly moved overseas along with the jobs.

Bloody disgusting . Load of tossers. They will probably get them washed at the Albanian car washers ! Better to keep the Jaguar for ten years than buy a foreign car.

    December 25, 2023 at 9:50 pm

I worked as a contractor at jaguar in Coventry back in 2009 just as Tata were taking them over … Jaguar land rover ..
They probably chose Audi because it sounds like Saudi 😁
If you want British you would have to choose Morgan 😁

Maybe the British should make better cars? The Miata has to fill the British sports car niche.

Pimlico Plumbers run around in VW vans, very patriotic…

  23. @luvstellauk

At least get people on who can argue their point in and intelligent manner, this bloke is as thick as two short planks and did he say 'Rover'? They haven't existed for the best part of 20 years. That said, there are no British owned car companies that make suitable cars so why not BMW or Audi, they make cars that fit the requirements.

  24. @johnbrereton5229

    December 25, 2023 at 9:50 pm

There are many distinguished British car manufacturers they could have chosen from, including Alvis from Coventry England. How typical of a modern British Government to not support it's own manufacturers.

  25. @johnancill7397

    December 25, 2023 at 9:50 pm

What message does that send out to the rest of the world, other countries use cars from their own country, whoever decided this must be a remoaner.
