The G7 group of nations – including the UK and US – have called for a pause in the fighting in Gaza during a meeting in Tokyo overnight.

Meanwhile, BBC News’s Orla Guerin has spoke to Hezbollah’s deputy leader Naim Qassem about tensions growing on the border of Israel and Lebanon in the north, and what an escalation of conflict could mean for the wider region as a whole.

How Europe is obliged to accept a large proportion of Palestinians as war refugees. Erdogan will open the door to Greece and Italy for them

Why did the October 7 massacres of Israeli children, women and men happen? Western countries are a large part of the cause. Right-wing extremism, Nazism, anti-Semitism and Islamism are once again capable of gaining a majority. Far-right Western governments and politicians have become cancerous tumors of hatred against Jews and Muslims. The Jews and Muslims are blamed for their own economic woes. Jews and Muslims in business, art, politics and the media are seen as a threat instead of an asset. The explosion of catastrophic living conditions in Gaza and the West Bank could only happen because we in the West left the Israelites and Muslims alone.

Muslims all over the world cannot accept that there is a Jewish state. This also applies to right-wing extremist governments around the world. Even in the so-called democracies, social coldness towards Jews has become ever greater. Jews complain that even after the massacre, many Germans are withdrawing from their circles of friends. Jews in Germany are once again sitting on packed suitcases and want to emigrate to Israel. It is now the time to stand with your own life and character before Jews and against the hatred of Muslims. The proportion of radical Muslims has become so large in many democratic countries that they openly discriminate against and persecute Jews. The question of power of Muslims in Western countries arises. Tens of thousands of Muslims and a few thousand Jewish sympathizers come to the demonstrations. The problems in Gaza and the West Bank have become so great that the Israelites cannot solve them alone. With the war in Ukraine, the Russians, Chinese, Iranians and North Koreans have begun a major attack on democratic countries. Israel was always planned to be the next country to be destroyed.

The vast majority of Palestinians and Israelis do not want war. The religious fanatics in Iran have not given up their violent fantasies of completely wiping out the Israelites as a people. The Iranians' pursuit of a nuclear bomb is becoming ever stronger. And they will use the atomic bomb against Israel if Israel and the USA do not prevent it. The Israelites have no choice but to defeat Hamas, Iran's proxies, and expel them from Israel. Under what living conditions should the Palestinians from the south return to the north, where almost everything is destroyed? A large proportion of Palestinians will come to Europe as war refugees. Erdogan will give them the opportunity to enter Greece and Italy via Turkey.

Hamas had their Pear Harbor attack. Instead of attacking military targets, they targeted civilians women and children. To end the war, Hamas is now having their Nagasaki event in return. For a cease fire, this will require the same response as Japan for the shooting to end and the peace to begin. Hamas has not come to that fact, yet. Not sure Hamas will continue fighting to keep the war going. It's up to Hamas to stop.

Remember what Gaza did to Israel when Israel gave to them autonomy in 2005. The people of Gaza elected the Hamas militants whose motto is the destruction of Israel through armed resistance. They began to import lethal weapons to be used against Israel. This prompted Israel to lay a siege to the Gaza Strip in 2007, in a bid to thwart the delivery of weapons to be used against Israel. In spite of all this, Israel continued to supply Gaza with water, fuel and electricity.

Gallant said: "I can say one thing to the citizens of Israel. At the end of the war, there will no longer be Hamas in Gaza; there will no longer be a security threat from the Gaza Strip to Israel; and Israel will have complete freedom of action, to carry out any security action it wishes, against anyone who raises his head in Gaza."

Well there is a clear statement by The Iranian Hezbollah. Israel started it. It wasn't any doing of Iran supporting HAMAS terrorism. Or the HAMAS style of attack. When the Chief of Hezbollah gave his speech he went even further to say that the Israelies were those actually doing the killing of all those Israely civilians on October Statusrday (1st Day). But he says it is a good thing all those Palestinians died as they are now martyers and their deaths have been worthy. 15:13 But he thinks what happened was a Great Achiment for the Palestinian Resistance'. But he knows there is no solution except continued resistance (No mention of cease fire, 2 state solution, hostage release). A very smug attitude where thousands are slaughtered. Is he one of the terrorists who trains childred to wear suicide belts to futher their terrorist cause?

US hits ‘dozens’ of Iranian sites in strikes, as Iran targets US bases in region | BBC News

Published

on

The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.

“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.

In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

Trump demands 20% toll on cargos passing through strait of Hormuz | BBC News

Published

on

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.

He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.

Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.

Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.

The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

The UAE called the attack “brazen”, adding that an Indian crew member was killed and eight others were injured.

US launches more strikes on Iran and resumes naval blockade of ports | BBC News

Published

on

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.

Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.

President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.
