Ukraine war: Crimea oil tank set ablaze by reported drone strike – BBC News
A drone strike has caused a massive fire at an oil depot in Russian-controlled Crimea, local officials say.
Video on social media shows smoke and flames billowing from the facility in Sevastopol, Crimea’s main city.
Firefighters are at the scene. No-one was hurt in the strike, the Moscow-appointed regional governor said.
On Friday Russia launched a wave of air strikes in cities across Ukraine, killing at least 25 people. It was the first such attack in months.

Americans are reacting to President Donald Trump’s escalating feud with Pope Leo XIV and the backlash surrounding an AI-generated image depicting the president as a Jesus-like figure, which has since been deleted.
On Monday, Trump posted a lengthy Truth Social message attacking the pontiff, who has been a vocal critic of the US and Israeli military operations in Iran.
He criticised the Pope, calling him “weak on crime” and “terrible for foreign policy”.
The Pope said on Monday that he has “no fear” of the Trump administration or “speaking out loudly of the message of the Gospel, which is what I believe I am here to do”.

The Moscow Times identified the tanker as the chemical tanker SIG, which is currently under US sanctions for supplying jet fuel to Russian forces in Syria. Russian outlets claimed that the incident did not result in an oil spill. A Russian milblogger claimed that the Ukrainian naval drone intentionally targeted the SIG’s engine room because targeting the stern creates the least likelihood of an oil spill and is where the most expensive and difficult-to-repair equipment is located. The nature and location on the ship of the attack suggest that Ukrainian forces intended to disable the ship without generating significant ecological consequences.
