James Cleverly has called out David Lammy for refusing to apologise to victims following the Labour early prisoner release scheme.
Speaking in the House of Commons, the Shadow Housing Secretary criticised the Deputy Prime Minister, saying: “I am genuinely shocked when given the opportunity to apologise to victims, he very publicly failed to do so.”

Andy Burnham’s Britain: What will the country look like under the ‘King of the North’s’ leadership?
What will an Andy Burnham government *actually* look like?
We dissect the radical “Manchesterism” blueprint Burnham wants to bring to the heart of government. From establishing a decentralized “No. 10 North” nerve centre to launching a massive post-war council housing push, Burnham is promising to radically rewire Britain.
However, critics are already raising red flags. With national debt soaring, can his sweeping plans for the renationalisation of transport and utilities survive contact with the markets? More importantly, is Burnham pulling a “bait-and-switch” on the British electorate by abandoning the very centrist manifesto that Labour was elected on under Keir Starmer?
We fast-forward to 2030 to look at the balanced reality of Burnham’s Britain—the major public sector shifts, the potential tax squeeze on the middle class, and the structural friction that could define his premiership.
Is he the saviour the working class has been waiting for, or a Westminster insider in regional clothing? Watch to find out.

I can't believe how poorly the economy has performed since 2008. In 2007, UK GDP per capita was higher than in the US. We are now significantly poorer. Productivity, and therefore wages, have flatlined. Even London is falling behind other European capitals, US and Asian cities. I thought the Tories were supposed to be competent managers of the economy?

Those Europeans they want the Brits to fail. That is why Germany's GDP is suppose to decrease by a greater percentage than the UK, because those Europeans are out to get us Brits. But Germany has the biggest GDP in Europe. They are the manufacturing power house of Europe. Why would the IMF lie about Germany? The IMF must be trying to trick us. Those cunning European they are up to "no good."

Liam quite rightly alludes to the dangers of future forecast of our trade and growth, he rightly points out the IMF have been pessimistically wrong in 25 of 28 of their forecast, the IMF reckon in the next 8 months the UK forecast will shrink by 0.3% and he cast doubts if they can be relied on or if they will be correct. While I agree totally in what he states, I wonder what his stance would be towards the numerous Government Ministers predicting the eye catching figures for UK growth in Trade and Investment on joining the CPTPP. As a prediction for 50 years time, from the very Ministers that have a vested Interest in justifying it seems open to debate
