I am a simple IT specialist from the Republic of Buryatia (This is in Siberia). I felt bad and still what does our country. I used to be able to work freelance, use all the services, order goods all over the world, but now all this is not possible. It has become problematic to migrate or just travel, the dollar is 100 roubles. My mouth payment is 270$, and everybody ignore or hate us, who will want to live normal as a modern human.

Maybe life has changed for the families that have lost someone in the fighting? And to what purpose? Even if Russia is successful, they will still be shunned by most other nations. The impact will be felt further down the line and then people will realize what a catastrophe Putin has created.

The reporter says. Its totally different. Who invaded who 😂😂. . .

    That don't matter.

Its war. Its about power. Power to the west by having Ukraine enter into Nato, or power to russia, by preventing Ukraine into nato / force ukraine to accept neutrality / force limits of arms – army size / annex territory from ukraine.

    It's that simpel.

Russia thinks its an uacceptabel national threat, too have ukraine become an nato member and the armies of the west, moving in there, ready for world war three at the Ukrainian / russian border, outflanking Russia from all sides from mainland Europe. Russia would rather fight an future world war three in the middle ( Ukraine), between west and Russian, than in Russian from the get go.

And ukraine thinks it as an absolute right, too say fuck you Russia. I don't care about your nationale security concerns, which is bullshit and paranoid just. Nato is Peaceful. The west is no longer out too get russia. I want into NATO now !!. Fuck off Russia.. I need protection from you, by getting security garanties from the west, for world war three happening, if you invade me.

Together with the civil war in Ukraine, between ethnic Russian Ukrainians and Ukrainians, mainly from the donbass region. And the maydan revolution. And the annexation back in 2014.

Power, power, power, power… 😢. . All want power. No one wants too lose power, trust each other or lose face. Power power power. Russia thinks Washington wants more power by getting Ukraine into nato, and likewise verca.

    Power power power.

Fully that BBC is allowed to go to Russia while RT is banned for the UK. Who really had freedom of information. If we only see one side then that is just propaganda

I have not watched this video and I do not think I will… but one question is crossing my mind: how come a BBC reporter is filming in Russia and no Russian one seems is allowed to do that in the west? The west started censoring Russian tv programs like Russia Today or Russian talk shows. The Russian governenment threatened to do the same… conclusion: such videos should not be possible.

If the reporter lives in Moscow, for sure there are Russian ones living in Europe… why the hell simply not stop this hypocrisy and let people get informed by both sides?
Propaganda from both sides for sure, but then watchers will decide or find out on their own where the truth lies!

Without Russia attacking first, the Ukraine would have do it. If choosing between trusting the militarised and nazi country and waiting it to attack Russia like it was with Germany, loosing millions of lives fighting on our own territory and preventionally attacking this country before it has chanse to do the same, despite any accusation of others, I think the second variant is more preferable.

I live in Russia and laugh when Western media call Russia a rogue country. In 2 years of sanctions, our country has become the fifth economy in the world, overtaking Germany and France. We, together with the BRICS countries, are moving away from the dollar system. Moscow was recognized as the most beautiful, safe and developed city in the world by the UN on February 2, 2022. Watch a video on YouTube of what cities in Russia look like now, you will see that there are no empty shelves in stores, no one is starving, no one is in poverty. Everything is fine with us, your sanctions are not working.

Five years on from the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan | BBC News

Published

on

It has been five years since the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan, as western forces left, imposing their extreme, ultra-conservative interpretation of Islam on millions of people.

Their return to power brought relative peace to the country after two decades of war.

But Afghan women have been erased from public life. Girls are banned from school from the age of 12, and aren’t allowed to go to university.

Public parks are also off limits to women – and they can’t travel abroad without a male companion.
