Er no. If they go to university and get a loan, you pay it back regardless of grades.

The whole education system is archaic. It was created for a very different kind of economy. Why have apprenticeships when they will be replaced? There is only one future and that is in advanced technology. Training should begin in Junior School. The equivalent in A level practical, would be to design and build a small robot etc etc. Why train lawyers when A1 will almost instantaneously provide the best legal advice? The professions as we have known them will cease to exist.

We only need about 20-25% of youngsters going to University not 40%+.
Increase fees to foreigners and make it tuition free for those who make the top 20%.

Its a loan. They have to pay it back the same as students with 'good grades'. Some of the most successful people in the world had terrible grades. University isnt just about academic education either. For many, just going changes their lives. Just bear in mind not everyone has a middle class upbringing. Some youngsters have a ton of cr@p to deal with. Its not a level playing field. It never has been. Im not even going to get into all those students with dyslexia and other conditions many of which are still undiagnosed. Your going to discriminate against all of them as well? I can't see that happening, so this idea is a dead duck.

Ok so where are these apprenticeships?!

The solution is to lower tuition fees and demand univerities offer quality's courses.

A state funded peace core type system would be grest. Having young people out in the country learning agriculture, firedtry fishing or other community service

Would be good if they graded student's equally regardless of their ethnicity.
