Russia intensifies bombardment of Ukrainian cities as residents flee – BBC News

Published

on

Russia has “doubled” bombardments on cities and towns in southern Ukraine, according to regional government figures.

Kherson has been one of the cities which has seen shelling intensify in recent months as civilians and soldiers brace for winter.

Some residents have left their homes in Kherson to seek refuge in the port city of Odessa, with little more than the clothes on their back.

The right is! England has already made use of Zelensky and now has to accept that he is no longer useful!

Western politicians conspire against Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and want to betray him, wrote British journalist Con Coughlin in an article in The Telegraph.
"The West conspired to sell out Ukraine. American and European leaders are tired of Kiev's demands and are ready to betray Zelensky's fighters," he said.

BBC, you really need to catch up information wise. It has just been announced by the Biden White House that USA military aid to Ukraine will be reduced to a mere trickle. The Washington DC money tap is being turned OFF, the Zelensky govt is now in a massive deep crisis, without the flow of American missiles and military hardware the Ukrainians cannot win, they are going to lose, it is plainly inevitable. Britain, Germany, France just cannot make up the colossal American shortfall in munitions. NATO has now essentially abandoned Ukraine.

PC Andrew Harper’s killers to stay in jail | BBC News Exclusive

Published

on

Prime Minister Andy Burnham has told the BBC that PC Andrew Harper’s killers will remain behind bars as he announces changes to the early release scheme aimed at easing prison overcrowding.

In an exclusive interview with BBC Breakfast, Burnham said anyone convicted of manslaughter will be excluded from changes brought in under the Sentencing Act, which would have made the killers eligible for early release.

Burnham said extra prison spaces would be created by deporting “hundreds” of foreign prisoners and releasing some inmates serving indefinite sentences.

At least 27 dead and hundreds evacuated after strike on Kyiv warehouse | BBC News

Published

on

Twenty-seven people have been killed and almost 400 evacuated after a Russian strike hit a warehouse near Kyiv, triggering a fire and a series of explosions.

Regional governor Tymur Tkachenko said a further 42 people, including four children, were injured after the Russian drone strike in the Bucha district.

An investigation has been launched into whether ammunition was being stored at the site, where search and rescue operations were ongoing early on Saturday.

Russia’s Ministry of Defence said in a statement that its forces had targeted “an ammunition depot” in the Kyiv region village of Myla, which stores “components and launch boosters for FP-1/FP-2 long-range unmanned aerial vehicles”.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the strike, saying that more than 300 emergency respondents had been deployed to the strike area.
