BBC goes inside Al-Shifa hospital with the Israeli army -BBC News
BBC’s Lucy Williamson goes inside Gaza’s Al-Shifa hospital with the Israeli army and views a small cache of weapons and other items they say were found there.
The Israeli army is continuing to search the Al-Shifa hospital – which it says is used by Hamas as a military base; something Hamas denies.
Doctors at the hospital say they have been working without power, food or water for days now – and that critically ill patients have died as a result, including newborn babies.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad group – separate from Hamas – says its fighters are still involved in “fierce clashes” with Israeli forces near the hospital complex.

Gloria Steinem, who became a face of the women’s liberation movement in the US, has died, aged 92.
In a post on Instagram, her foundation said she “passed away peacefully” at her home in New York City on Wednesday, “surrounded by many who loved her”.
Steinem, who was a writer and magazine editor, co-founded the Women’s Action Alliance – a group dedicated to fighting sexism – more than 50 years ago.

Iran and the United States have carried out on the biggest exchange of attacks since July, stoking fears of a return to all out war.
Iran said 18 people were killed and more than 100 injured in latest US bombardment. It accused the US of committing a war crime by striking a wedding in the city of Kuhestak, killing four people including two children. The Pentagon responded by saying it does not target civilians.
In retaliation, Iran launched a wave of strikes against American targets in the region, including in Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq and Bahrain.
President Trump is warning that the US is prepared to carry out further strikes in response to those attacks.
There are warnings of a serious impact on the global economy, with further disruption to oil and gas supplies, affecting inflation and global borrowing costs.

The United States and Germany are secretly forcing Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to open peace talks with Russia, German newspaper Bild said. The media further stated that both countries are reducing arms supplies in the hope that Kiev will realize its inability to regain lost territory.
