Kate Winslet on integrity, feminism and why we need more LGBTQ+ films | Bazaar UK
Kate Winslet’s new film Ammonite is about real-life unsung heroine Mary Anning, a legendary palaeontologist whose work was re-appropriated by her male peers and passed off as their own. But, the thing that has caused the most discussion and attention is not Anning’s work, the sexism of the era, nor even Winslet’s strong performance, but the fact that director Francis Lee decided to give her a lesbian love story.
“If Francis had given Mary Anning a husband, no one would have said a ******* word,” Kate Winslet told us. “That’s the **** that has to change. It makes me quite cross actually.”
The actress, who has been working on screen for nearly two thirds of her life, says she hopes that her work on Ammonite offers a “helpful contribution” in bringing LGBTQ+ stories to the mainstream. She says that the more of these narratives that exist, the more they’ll become normalised.
“There needs to be more LGBTQ+ films so that we don’t feel the compulsion to compare the few that do exist, it’s totally mad. You wouldn’t compare Titanic with Die Hard or Revolutionary Road and The Holiday… They all have heterosexual people in them. These kinds of comparisons automatically have the impact of making same sex stories ‘controversial’. Why are we even using those words? That really isn’t right.”

Game developer Kyle Kukshtel’s post “How to engineer an AI harness for game development” (on the Hacker News front page) explains why AI agents struggle with games and what to change. From the post:
– Games aren’t just code: most of what an LLM sees is the code as written, so your game is a black box to it.
– Fixed randomness: one seeded source of randomness, so the agent can reproduce the exact same game state again and again.
– Screenshots: let the agent capture the game, and toggle UI or gameplay layers off to cut visual clutter.
– Image diffing: raw before/after screenshots confuse the model. A command-line tool like odiff gives a diff image and a similarity number the agent can work toward.

Hi there. This iceskating show does not exists in reality. Some criminals did this show to harras me . Some of them kidnapped me as a child and did digital copy of my young body without my permission. They are making big money for selling online this show and meanwhile they are intimidating and harrasing me because they do not want anyone to know that the show is faken and almost all consist from digital copy of my childish body just with different digital girls heads. I do not know the names of the criminals who did this. But I have a suspition that they are Ahmetov from Moscow Snegeri, Medvetev and Motisin, Ahmatutov from Perm, Morosov from norikel, Mitini from Keansburg, and Dowbing ave Sea Clif. It is tbey probably were who used to steal me for making digital copy of my body for porno and other kind of stars for making digital tv shows. The criminals should be in jail till the end of life. They sometimes kidnap people making new radioheads band to serve them. Probably they from Perm Haiva area, they have kids who they ask to translate their cfiminal mind like Turpina, Tikhomirovi, Zenkovi and others who works for them. They are very bad people. Someone of them did many skeches from my family members for skeching faces of presidents and uk kingdom members. They skeched Clinted body as Paul and face for prime minister of UK. Some of these them always hacking me and selling my voice for banks, mobile company robots and other bad stealers company. They need to be stopped from making this criminal job.
This one of the criminals who stole copy of my body to attach his head sketch to it. Tbey are selling holes in peoples brains for publick humiliation and robbing… , .

Which reminds me, haven't watched Brokeback Mountain yet. We even have movies abt robots anyway even if they are still inanimate objects so LGBTQ+ stories aren't too far behind imho.
