No, he won't split them. His supporters are now a very small and irrelevant band. The vast majority inside the party know he's burned toast. The Tories are masters of survival and recovery. I know it sounds crazy right now but I'm not even ruling them out scraping to a GE win next year. Long time to go. Chunks of the UK just can't warm to Starmer and a lot of things can happen that can save Sunak.

These graduates, of Eton and other “posh” education, kept each other secrets, covered up each other’s mistakes, performed illegal acts in secret, created racial clashes and reveled in utter chaos. A chaos they have brought to the government.

Its a small consolation that Boris is an ex – PM, just as Trump is an ex – president. But, looking at Trump, you ask whether Boris can do as much damage as an ex as he did in his heyday.

I don't want this to just split the Tories….I want it to finally extinguish this god awful party of rich privileged corrupt lying dishonest arrogant born-to-rule narcissistic A-holes, especially anything that came out of Eton.

  18. @johnburrows3385

    December 21, 2023 at 4:15 pm

I think it's extremely unlikely the Tories will split . Johnson will be sidelined and become an entertaining irrelevance over time . PR ,when introduced will lead to the Conservatives taking a far more Centerist position as that will be the only way to get elected.

  19. @SiVlog1989

    December 21, 2023 at 4:15 pm

Those of us who want to see the Tories, finally, voted out of office, won't be too concerned about the Tories tearing themselves apart from within. It has happened before (dating from when Margaret Thatcher resigned in November 1990 and how her legacy cast a shadow, rightly or wrongly, on her immediate successor, John Major) and it's happening again now.

Johnson in particular is a bargin basement version of Trump, tells lies just because he can and when those same lies catch up to him, the subsequent investigations that prove his responsibility (as it should have been since he was PM and there should have been no doubt that he bore ultimate responsibility for the actions and behaviour of his inner circle), he calls it a "Witch Hunt,"

  20. @jamlemon

    December 21, 2023 at 4:15 pm

Be a shame if he split the vote. 😂

  21. @lloroshastar6347

    December 21, 2023 at 4:15 pm

What exactly would his own Tory party consist of? People who believe politicians should have zero morals as opposed to some morals? He has no ideals, no philosophy, he's not being 'marginalised' for what he believes but because he is incompetent and can't stop being a crooked liar. So if people are going to remain loyal to him, what does that say about them? It can't all be down to worshipping him because he 'got Brexit done', which is itself a totally failed policy anyway. The people who want to make him into a leader of new Conservatism are saying that what they believe is politicians should never be held accountable for anything. So if anyone decides they want to vote for that, then what does that say about them as well? I think if Boris did split the party all he would be doing was to invite a few fringe lunatics to his side, nothing more.

  22. @nicks4934

    December 21, 2023 at 4:15 pm

Please split the party best thing Bj ever did

  23. @MrBoliao98

    December 21, 2023 at 4:15 pm

The UK won't vote an Indian Prime Minister. It is unspoken, the majority are white, why would anyone want someone like him to represent. He will be exactly like Leo Varadker, placed there by the party and never voted in. And well, no matter how fucked up it is, Boris might just take over the Conservatives, again. People rather have Liz Truss than this man, those are the facts.

  24. @ferencmori3114

    December 21, 2023 at 4:15 pm

Ever since I moved to the UK in 2009, we've never been so close to a Labour's victory in general elections… I wonder whether it's gonna be a landslide one next year 🙁

  25. @JB-pu8ik

    December 21, 2023 at 4:15 pm

Bojo needs to piss off. Lord Bucket Head would have made a much better PM.

  26. @blisseyran-dom6822

    December 21, 2023 at 4:15 pm

I really hope Boris sets up his own party to rival the Tories. That would guarantee a labour victory for a fair few elections given how decisive the split would be.

  27. @korndanaiakawat5459

    December 21, 2023 at 4:15 pm

And after all he did, wouldn't he be indicted or prosecuted? Abuse of power, lying repeated to Parliament? No?
