John Lennon on mental health and the Beatles reuniting | BBC News
On this day in 1980, John Lennon was murdered outside his home in New York City.
Ever since, Beatles fans have speculated about what might have transpired with the band had he lived.
A rediscovered 1975 interview with Lennon from the BBC archive gives some clues.
His untimely death would rob the Beatles of that opportunity in person, but it wasn’t the end of their musical collaboration together.
The final song, Now and Then, was released this year, credited to all four Beatles.

Hawk Fire wildfire in Nevada expected to rage for another two days, say officials | BBC News
US fire crews have reported progress in their efforts to tackle a large wildfire menacing the city of Reno, Nevada – saying the blaze is about a quarter contained.
The Hawk Fire, which began on Saturday, had spread over 15,000 acres by Monday, firefighters said.
Evacuation orders remain in place for 23,000 people, though other residents have now been allowed to return to their homes. Tens of thousands of other residents have been told to be ready to leave at any moment.
Officials are concerned that gusts of wind could drive the flames towards more homes. Unfavourable weather conditions are forecast for the next two days, meaning the fire could continue to burn during that timeframe.

China has two million robots already working in factories, and is investing heavily in the hopes that one day they could bridge gaps in an already sluggish economy. What can these robots do? China has vowed to protect its interests after the US announced plans to widen economic sanctions against Iran and its trading partners, which include Beijing.

I was taken aback when John said being on his own is somewhat more difficult (paraphrasing) he mentions being "sniped". I'll never forget the tv bulletin that horrible evening, sitting in my living room, when he was 'sniped' and died. Never stop "Imagine".

LOL Mental health? coming from a government that won't screen all or even most/some commoners.. in what they medically science wise have.. every single human specimen has at least one dsm label/psychiatric "condition"/disorder.. right. .even the best elite minds… even just anxiety.. literally everyone has something that may come and go … be there some years.. not so much.. other years.. the point is all human beings have mental health hygiene … okay so.. next time …. live somewhat properly… make everyone or most people go in… involuntarily or voluntarily.. make people listen to medical science… i get it can be pseudo science/art/politics too.. but the point is.. how is all of this diversity and mess/gongshow allowed? like .. okay .. you all allow anti psychiatry courses to be taught .. over in canada .. by the way.. which i thought was ridiculous .. at u of t… you allow websites … i'm not that important… to change things.. right.. i'm not a politician.. i'm a commoner.. but jesus.. maybe malpractice on people who actually deserve it.. and maybe crack down… lay the law down .. more… so that people actually study what mental health is. People have certain labels.. and NOT other labels. I noticed at least in the english lang. west.. there's only like.. a couple of top sellers.. dsm labels / diagnoses "they" primarily seem gong ho to push. Well jesus.. the average babyboomer woman over here for instance… in canada or states.. has a severe… huge… personality disorder.. like borderline personality disorder or a split personality.. is not mean in an overachiever way.. is not a narcissist in the normal enough.. way.. that would make sense eh.. she's a complete and utter monster and even on the mentally / behaviorually slow spectrum… never once.. being told to get help.. never once being put in her place.. never once being sectioned/sanctioned… never once facing reality really etc. and so on and so forth. Lennon is/was a great… but the keywords mental health pop up… more than anything at a time like this… lol…

John started out as the typical old school woman beating misogynist macho geezer until Yoko educated him. In a way, Lennon was the first woke male celebrity. A lot of his solo work lyrics sound like a man realizing what an ass he's been and trying to atone for his past self.
