you are not going to get poor people who need food, housing and health care to care about the planet.

Oh, I do, do hope so. The only problem is Sunak will be replaced by another non-doer.

so called Fossil fuel removal will be at the massive detriment to all concerned. you will end up with power load sharing and regular shutdowns to meet the requirements of heavy vehciles and draws. clearly you havent thught about things well enough or even looked around at the evidence. Climate change is a non issue as if you know anything about the earth, it goes through cycles. you only have to look back through the 1900s to see the massive variance in weather. you can even go and do the same all the way through the last 2000 years to see evidence of this (if at all possible) . check those facts more please

What has changed in COP26 was its very composition. There were thousands more people sent from oil companies. There was a video about this on Democracy Now.

Rishi changing his plans from economic competence to boats is because he was the chancellor during incompetent periods so it didn't make sense at all lol

China is not advancing that much in chip technology, it's all a farce. The new Huawei phone has been discovered that it's chips they stocked up before sanctions hit. It's not domestic Chinese chips.

I mostly like the episode, although I have a bit of a conundrum. The new, sleek pace of the podcast feels very professional and good. But I did like the more unofficial, laxer feeling of the old podcast, where more of the bantering and laughing was shown.

I felt it gave a good balance to the TLDR brand – very professional daily news segments and then weekly wind-downs of obviously still factual stories, but with a touch more levity that allowed the personalities of the hosts and writers to shine through.

I still think this new format allows for personalities to shine through, but ever so slightly less so due to its more streamlined nature.

Either way, still entertaining content and a great way to consume (international – since I'm American lol) news!

    Thanks guys!

Get him out no quickly before the numbskulls in Wales appoint Gethin, who should not even be allowed to stand for selection as he has very dubious past actions, If he is appointed we will all be run and controlled by Dark Skinned leaders who are out to finish off the UK.

HOW MUCH DID THEY GIVE TO PAUL KIGAME TO ACCEPT THIS HUMILIATION TO HIS COUNTRY…THEY WANT TO PUNISH THEM BY COMING TO UK ILLEGALLY AND NOW SENDING THEM TO AFRICA IS THE PUNISHMENT…WOW! AFRICAN PRESIDENT SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE ..An indian fighting for british nationalism and anti-immigration against a white guy who is pro immigration and against british nationalism. "I know but I'm loud".

I'm gonna have to give feedback here. As someone who's done work with disability issues and accessibility, it's my pet peeve when people don't use microphones. Those with hearing aids need people to use microphones, as the aids take the signal from them. If you're not using a microphone, you risk people not hearing.

The level of utter corrupt and fascist actions by the Tories is beyond a joke now. This latest emergency legislation is just calling black is white so that they can continue to push a totally amoral policy. They need to be locked up in my opinion. Utterly Corrupt, Lying Barstools imo.

all politicians start with emigrants to get votes, but in the end they are all idiots, they just steal for themselves, emigrants should live in peace and politics should go to march, leave more people and don't lie I live from 1998 to 2023, I have never made a criminal record and I always get a negative and to this Rishi Sunak I say march to the field and go to India and do not bring hatred to the Great Britain..

Great show.. I learned a great deal but not why the Tories are expending political capital on this ? .They are only playing to the choir. No one in the middle gives a damn. Are there really middle voices who actually believe this boat nonsense. Its insanity !!

  28. @kristjanpeil

    December 20, 2023 at 11:36 am

Yeah, COP28 was a disappointment, wasn't it. Just like Dan Simmons wrote in Hyperion in '89: "high tech is all well and good – like you can't power a spinship with gasolene – but crude oil will Always be useful in many sectors." Let's just not forget that it took basically a single Mauian to bring down the entire Web. Aenea 4ever!

Badgering Parliament to redefine truth? Pfft, how inefficent! "39 years ago" they just fixed it at the Party media office.
