The BBC is on borrowed time and is fast becoming Britain’s Weakest Link | Mark Dolan

Published

Mark Dolan: Until our national broadcaster creates radio, online & TV output for the whole country – and does so on a more sensible budget – it’s on borrowed time. Populated by Pointless Celebrities and not enough Masterminds, the BBC is fast becoming Britain’s Weakest Link.

The BBC should be asking themselves why,or do they know why but don’t care

The BBC have become a leftist woke organisation, not fit to represent Britain. I have not paid the TV License fee since 2007, and follow all of the rules, which is very easy. And I do not even have a digital TV set.

Advertisers should defund Gutter Broadcasting . Stop paying for hate Long Live the great and glorious BBC the best of British .Jimmy Savile was evil because of Jimmy Savile . Do we get rid of ITV because of Fred Talbot?

30th November Esrher McVile apoears on BBC Question Time.
    ..
16th November Jackass ReesSmugg also appears on BBC Question Time.

Not that worried about the licence fee payer are we? Slag off the BBC but happy to appear on BBC shows when it suits their purpose and self publicity?.
Or is it because no one notices them on Gutter Beoadcasting with its demented pipsqueak paranoid audience?

If anyone regardless of age or circumstance finds tv 'company' then I have to questions their intelligence. From what is easy to deduce from the listings and what i see in other's houses when visiting, it all seems so cruddy and puerile; and endless conveyor belt of dumbwit property and quiz shows. I would have thought it's going to be a far more intelligent move to buy a parrot; at least that's interactive and you don't have to endure all that pathetic background synthesized muzak.

This organisation, are about as relevant to society as; a 5G network was to Anglo Saxon society. The nonsense about wokery, and pronouns has rendered them unwatchable.

Who pays £159 now? And who will pay £200 in the future?

There are way more channels that you don't need to pay the Jimmy Savile Supporters Club for, that they [BBC] could disappear overnight, and they would hardly be missed.

Look at the statue in Wood Lane, and the very seriously dodgy history that surrounds it!

    Nuff Said?

  20. @hunchanchoc8418

The last letter I saw stated that you DO still have to pay the Licence 'protection money' even if you are watching on a phone, tablet, computer, or through a TV box or Xbox. For ANY tv channel's programme which is being broadcast live. Or if you have any device which is capable of recording the live broadcast. And if you watch ANYTHING via the bbc's iPlayer. So you don't need a licence to watch Netflix or Disney, or something on Itv X if it's not currently live.
It's disgraceful. I object to being forced by law to pay for biased propaganda I don't even tune-in to, except to occasionally briefly check whether it is no longer biased propaganda.

THere should be a list of the top earners of the bbc published monthly till they day they are disbanded, Also there should be public lists of whom the bbc finances WITH OUR MONEY!

  25. @zakmarsden5997

    December 19, 2023 at 2:24 am

Defund the parasites of the bbc! give the money saved to schools. hospitals, War veterans, the police and the homeless. The British people have had enough of Linekers, cronyisim, fortunes paid out to mediocrity's, highly paid jobs for the boys, and the rest of the corruption and robbery that involves the bbc! it is a scandal and a disgrace,

Absolute drivel, this idiot does not realise that most people under 25 never watch terrestrial tv ,and never have and never will.
Terrestrial tv is mainly for the over 50s ,who prefer the BBC as a safe option.
Watching GB News attack the BBC,is like watching an amateur boxer fighting Muhammad Ali,l laughable.

BREAKING: Prince Harry and six others face £9.5M High Court bill

Published

on

By

BREAKING: A High Court judge has ordered Prince Harry, Sir Elton John, Liz Hurley and four other prominent claimants to hand over an initial £9.54m to Associated Newspapers Limited following their defeat in a landmark privacy case.

The payment must be made by 28 August.

The group, which also includes David Furnish, Sir Simon Hughes, Sadie Frost and Baroness Doreen Lawrence, brought claims against the Daily Mail’s publisher alleging unlawful information-gathering — accusations ANL strenuously denied throughout proceedings.

Mr Justice Nicklin set the interim sum after ANL sought more than £9.9m, whilst the claimants’ legal team argued the figure should be approximately £7.9m.

The claims were thrown out on 7 July when Mr Justice Nicklin ruled that the high-profile group had not substantiated their allegations against the publisher.

Andy Burnham compared to “Sheriff of Nottingham” over new “mansion tax”

Published

on

By

Andy Burnham has been branded the “Sheriff of Nottingham” by a Tory MP as HMRC valuation agents are set to descend on British homes to determine eligibility to pay the steep new “mansion tax”.

Speaking to GB News, Shadow Cabinet Office Minister Mike Wood compared the Prime Minister to the villainous rival of Robin Hood as he hit out at plans to hike levies on higher-value homes.

Inspectors could be sent to determine whether homeowners will be liable for a new surcharge on higher-value homes, and those who refuse agents entry could face criminal prosecution and a fine of up to £200.

Additionally, homeowners who do not supply requested information without a “reasonable excuse” could attract a fine of up to £500.
