Israel intensifies Gaza bombing as US calls for “humanitarian pause” – BBC News
Israel has intensified its bombardment of Gaza, despite calls from the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken for a “humanitarian pause” in the fighting.
The BBC’s reporter in the Gaza Strip says the latest Israeli air strikes are the most intense since the war began.
It comes as Israeli ground troops continue their advance, saying they have reached the coastline south of Gaza City.
Israel has said it must see progress on release of the hostages taken by Hamas gunmen from Israel before it will agree to any pause in its offensive.

China has vowed to protect its interests after the US announced plans to widen economic sanctions against Iran and its trading partners, which include Beijing.
Foreign ministry spokesman Lin Jian said China was firmly opposed to what it called “illegal unilateral sanctions” and would take “all necessary measures” to safeguard its rights.
US President Donald Trump has said that the US Navy has removed or detonated all mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

It has been five years since the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan, as western forces left, imposing their extreme, ultra-conservative interpretation of Islam on millions of people.
Their return to power brought relative peace to the country after two decades of war.
But Afghan women have been erased from public life. Girls are banned from school from the age of 12, and aren’t allowed to go to university.
Public parks are also off limits to women – and they can’t travel abroad without a male companion.

It's peculiar that people who worship the only true GOD engage in conflict with one another. Their doctrines often identify non-believers, such as atheists and those practicing idolatry, commonly found in nations like India, China, North Korea and Japan, as adversaries. The difference of opinion here between the U.S. and Israel is that the U.S. position is political to cull the muslim votes out of Michigan. Israel is against the pause in order to survive and defeat Hamas. The U.S. position makes me want to vomit. Especially how they cloak their motive in "humanitarian-goody-goody" rhetoric. Disgusting human beings.Humanitarian gesture would be for Hamas to release all hostages. Then, maybe, a "pause" aka cease fire. The problem with this there was a cease fire October 2, 5 days before they massacred 1,400 Israelis. Hamas or Hezbolla has broken every cease fire between Israel and the Arab world since the beginning, using such pauses for tactical advantage.

The infrastructure is so badly hit that ambulances can't get anywhere near enough to collect the injured. The region is covered with rubble. It's an absolute disaster with 1.5M people now displaced. Israeli PM must go ! He is inhuman and yet he calls the Gazans animals – ironic !!

FACT: The world must be remembered that this land belongs to Palestinians who were noble persons since eras then converted into Jews then reconverted into Christians and at last they embraced Islam. Peoples of Palestine welcomed the Jewish refugees coming from Germany before a century when there was no place to hide their heads on the earth but after a decade the refugees (Jewish) became lords and the landlords (Palestinians) were became homeless…..!!! This act is still being continued….. May Allah bless upon the earth of Palestine.
