   The fact was, there was never a plan for Brexit apart from getting it done but even then, when will Brexit ever be done? every time the Tories are prodded, they say that it wasn’t the Brexit that they were promised, or that they expected.

   Brexit was the grand plan of the conservatives. Never forget! If I was the EU I wouldn't let the UK back unless it paid out the rear as punishment for their foolish choices. Put the crow on the grill for the English LOL

   I do not regret Brexit. As the EU morphs into the United States of Europe I heave a sigh of relief that the UK is now free from political control by Brussels. Like most countries we have been hit by the massive cost of closing the economy for nearly two years due to Covid taking out national debt to over 100% of GDP. Next we were hit by the Russian invasion of Ukraine sending fuel and food costs sky high.

   I think Brexit has been roughly economic neutral as the projected gains from liberating our economy and freeing up the ability to trade more with growing Asian and American economies have been slow to materialise. In comparison to the massive hits from Covid and the Ukraine war Brexit has been economically insignificant, a drop in the ocean. It is worth pointing out that UK exports to the EU have increased but less than our exports to non EU countries which is exactly what you would expect.

   Brexit has another gift though which is to give commentators the opportunity to write endless negative comments while conveniently ignoring any positve points that may arise. Such articles usually have lurid headlines designed to maximise clicks and comments. Never mind getting the economic balance right – that does not get the readership excited.

   The UK does have a serious political problem at the moment with a government that has imposed the highest rates of taxation since WW2. It is now taxing people on low incomes to the point where working is not worthwhile. Companies fail to train your people and instead import cheap labour with wages so low they have to be topped up with tax credits, a crazy, unsustainable situation. Taxes have been increased on businesses and discourage investment and growth. These failures are all due to bad political decisions and nothing to do with Brexit. Meanwhile commentators use Brexit as an excuse to write articles regardless of the true position.

   Seeing how the UK discussion has been centered about the term "single market" for decades, you guys will have to stay outside the European Union for quite some time. The European Union was never a solely economic project, even if the UK prefered to push this delusion for decades.
   The European Union has always been both, an economic AND an political project.
   BREXIT has demonstrated very clearly that UK elites have no interests in the values and political ideas the EU was founded on. BREXIT's most important real political aim was to free these elites from any political control based on common EU regulations.
   As sorry as I feel for all EU friendly Brits, the UK deserves BREXIT. Your electorate chose it.

    Brexit has nothing to do with England's financial woes. Brexit will eventually prove to be the right move, but as long as there are Net Zero, Cameras, reckless Immigration, allies needing military assistance, incredible taxes and interest rate increases, along with criminal activity, drugs, irresponsible handling of funds, then blaming brexit is an easy way to blame away personal accountability. Let's not forget about the Covid lockdowns that hurt every economy that performed such measures.

    As an American I could see the same sociological disease affecting the U.K. that was taking over the US. I was surprised it actually happened and I knew they'd regret it. At least Brits understand it was a mistake. The dumbasses in the US are still pushing for more stupidity to destroy our country. They will succeed at some point too. I might leave when it happens.

    I hold the opinion that the reason many Europeans get away with so much trash talk is just because Americans on average don't pay nearly as much attention to Europe as Europeans do to the USA. Because every time I dig into European countries, I find just as many and sometimes more weird things about them than the US.

    the nation state is there for the people. Not the other way around, as is unfortunately the case in many (Anglo-Saxon) countries. It might actually be a very good idea to abolish the nation state if they are so dysfunctional.

    Rome wasn’t built in a day, or a year or a decade; anyone who expects that to be the case is naive beyond belief.
    COVID, which gave rise to the conflict in Ukraine, which gave rise to inflation, which gave rise to higher interest rates had nothing to to with Brexit and everything to do with the current challenges.

    Please remember, that the reason the COVID vaccines were ringfenced for the UK first was BECAUSE we were separated from the EU by Brexit.

    Brexit was founded upon the notion that a country should have freedom to make its own laws; nothing more than that. Anyone who expected more was being grossly naive. However, the government has been prevented from following through with now-independent changes to legislation because of the global challenges; either right wing or left wing is irrelevant… the global challenges would have floored any SHORT TERM post-Brexit plans.

    If you’re going to produce a video like this, please refrain from using sensationalist language and false information; it only serves to stoke fires and emotions, but nothing to support informed discussion.

    So only about 5% of the people who voted at the time have either changed their mind, or died and been replaced by a younger electorate. I don't think people are changing their minds really, it was a mistake in my eyes from day 1 as I'm sure 49.3% of country thought the same.
