“Why I pay for sex” – BBC News
Catrin Nye spoke to one man, ‘Ben’, who has slept with between 30 and 40 prostitutes. He is 30, single, lives in London and works in PR. On June 1st paying for sex will become illegal in Northern Ireland. It will be following Sweden and Norway in criminalising men who use prostitutes. There are calls for the same to be done across the rest of the UK. Others argue that the best protection for prostitutes is actually legalisation.

Violence against women and girls in Iraq is widespread, but under reported, according to UN experts.
For incidents of sexual violence, there are no official figures. Human rights campaigners in the country say more needs to be done to protect women who speak out. They say threats and incitement against survivors should be investigated as crimes.
BBC Arabic’s Sally Nabil has been to Baghdad to speak to women who say family and social pressures discouraged them from speaking out, but have now decided to break their silence.

Floods have hit Australia’s largest city Sydney for the third time this year prompting evacuation warnings to 50,000 people.

Saudia Arabia vows ‘serious response’ to Houthi attacks and other stories | Global News Podcast
The Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen have continued to fire missiles towards Saudi Arabia, after a number of deadly attacks on Riyadh’s main international airport.
Almost all flights to and from the airport have been suspended. The Houthis say their actions are in retaliation for “brutal Saudi aggression” against areas they control in western Yemen.
Saudi Arabia’s energy minister Prince Abdul Aziz bin Salman told a conference in Riyadh that the seriousness of the attacks required an equally serious response from the Kingdom.

The only people who are gonna call him desperate are women and priviledged men who have no problem attracting women..In todays modern world most men are in his situation whether they realize it or not..When women are indipendent they only want top tier men which is like 5% and they end up sharing the same guys and end up getting hurt then they are mad how the world isn't fair and why those top tier men won't commit only to her and in the end when they are 40 some average guy has to take her and deal with her baggage and her attitude cuz she thinks she's settling..

Ive never gone to a prostitute myself but honestly I can't blame men who do. At the end of the day there are so many guys out there who are literally so touch-starved and deprived of appreciation from women nowadays they are committing suicide due to loneliness and other mental issues. I'm 32, I lost my virginity to a prostitute when i was 24. I've never had sex without paying for it, I've never been on a date. I stopped paying for sex a few years ago because it was just utterly depressing sometimes during and especially after. I need intimacy. I'm an average looking guy, but I suffered from serious depression since my teens. Became addicted to the internet and my youth passed me by. I missed out on a lot of key developments and now at a older age I think I'm unworthy of any woman. I wouldn't fuck me tbh. All I can say is young guys try to make it the best of it when your young, it only gets harder and you get older.

I honestly think we should normalize this. Most guy that do this aren't sex addicts or can't get laid. It's simply more convenient. No baggage, no drama, no paying for the first date. Just a one time payment to get your rocks off and you're back to your day to day. The hoops we need to jump through to get laid or even to get noticed is substantially more difficult. This allows us to bypass all of that. I wish this was legal with restrictions of course. I defenently don't wont sex trafficking or anything like that going on. If we can just regulate it then I think we'd have an overall better society.
